PSU gets to grips with Bloodborne live from the show floor at E3 2014.
The Souls-like genre remains popular, along with FromSoftware's classics there are many contenders. But which are the best Souls-like games?
Hmm... In my opinion, the 7 best are the 6 made by FromSoftware (DeS, DS1, DS2, DS3, BB and ER), then Lies of P. But each to their own.
Saad from eXputer: "Almost a decade later, it's time to take the nostalgia goggles off and accept that Bloodborne has long been surpassed by its successors."
Yes, yes it does. It’s still a great game. Elden Ring isn’t better just different and a bit easier . I like that you have to be aggressive but smart in Bloodborne
"Sony is missing out on a hugely profitable opportunity by ignoring fan demands for a Bloodborne remaster and PC port," says Ahmed from eXputer.
Bloodborne came out on the PS4. It is owned by From Software. What missed opportunity? I am sure the people at From Software know what they are doing. Especially since they are hiring devs instead of laying them off.
Maybe do an article about that instead of writing a hit piece on them acting like they don't know how to run their business.
It will be a launch title on PS6 just like the remake of Demon's Souls for PS5 launch
sounds awesome :)
Damn 30mins of live gameplay? Thanks for this detailed video! So here's the conclusion:
- Produced by Sony Japan, developed by From Software
- much more aggressive combat than Demon's Souls, not "wait-and-see" (seems like shields aren't necessary anymore)
- 19th century / gothic setting, dense environments
- infection turned animals and humans into "beasts"
- more enemies on screen, terrifying monster design
- very bloody, gear and cloak get wet and bloodsoaked
- similar difficulty and rewarding gameplay as Souls series
- transformable weapons, firearms are close-combat
- many different weapons, many can be transformed to change up gameplay
All in all this shapes up just like I hoped for, a true nextgen Souls game. Now I'm even more excited than before, thanks again!
i want to see actual gameplay. sure a maxed out engine trailer looks amazing but it can't run at realtime like that. i mean - you can crank up the POS Unity engine to 11 and get it to look good. not to say this game won't look great but i want to see it realistically as i would play it.
Crow enemies.... I +1 that...
really wish they showed gameplay
