Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Battlefield: Hardline both had explosive gameplay reveals at the E3 2014 conferences, and usually we’d try to determine which was better. ‘Sod that’ says Dave Cook. Both games deserve a wee slap on the back.
After seeing rainbow six I lost all interest in cod and we'll sort of battlefield
This x infinity. R6 blew me away, it's the only game of all the briefings that did.
I wasn't impressed by any of the gameplay shown for COD& BF
Both had really dull demos :/
I cant wait for the new BF and COD!! Hopefully BF works at launch
For the first time since MW2, I really like this year's version of COD.
Who won.... Rainbow Six wins! But really, COD looked same old same old as predicted.
After trying BF:H beta, I can honestly it sucks. Plain boring and repetitive. I think I will pass these two games this year. Cod with futuristic theme is not my thing. Cod 4 was
It's sad to see that you are just getting disagrees to that. Maybe it's cause you said it sucks? I don't quite agree with that but I agree with the fact that it's nothing new. I've been a huge fan of BF since 1942 and have played the hell out of every release since then. I got really disheartened at the difference between bf3 and bf4. I just knew they were heading down the COD milking route. Now after playing BF:H I can honestly say I will not be buying it. It's really depressing for me to see so many people defending BF:H blindlessly. It's essentially the same concept Vietnam was to BC2 or 1943 was to BC and yet they are asking a full $60 for it. It only took me a full round (yes I played multiple ones) to realize that it's just BF4 with cops and robbers. I just really wish gamers would put their backing in innovation and not loyalty to a game series that is doing nothing new. Think of where money normally goes into developing a game like this. It's into the engine. It's into things like ballistic trajectory and vehicle handling. It's into physics. It's into textures and how graphically advance the game can look. It's into how the warfare will be presented and how the over gameplay will control/feel. It's into how team setup will work with squads and spawning mechanics. In all of that regard NOTHING has changed since BF4 in BF:H. And yet they have the audacity to charge $60 for it and gamers can't wait to fork over that money? Appalling to say the least. They are applying a new game mode and adding some new guns/vehicles with maps. This is the definition of an expansion. Sure if you offer a full range of maps and game modes you can charge over the $15 a regular expansion cost. Anything over $30 is robbery though.
I don't care if they disagree, truth must be told. BF:H offers nothing new, just BF4 with cops and robbers theme. Same HUD, same sound effects, same materials with different maps and vehicles. Yet they shamelessly charge $60 for it.. and probably another $60 for premium/season pass thing. Sadly I'm seeing BF shooting itself in the foot. I guess it's time to head over to Rainbow Six, or Evolve
While I do like the 2 game modes they have in the beta it plays and feels like BF4. It's more like an add on or expansion pack that should be sold at half price and not a full game. Don't do the singleplayer and just release it as a standalone expansion pack for 30 bucks.
CODs Campaign had science fiction happening everywhere and shoot banging, it looked really quite good. Battlefail Offline looks absolutely terrible.
multiplayer fps : rainbow 6 and evolve wins story mode : farcry 4 co-op : destiny no room for : cod or bf this gen :s
Rainbow Six won. Easily!
i can't believe i am saying this but COD won flawless victory
COD looks a lot more interesting than BF:H so far, but I'm probably not going to be playing either one. Rainbow Six, on the other hand, looks outstanding. As long as they include some dynamite SP it's a must-buy. If we're going to compare big-name military FPS franchises, Rainbow Six is in there too.
I'm looking for Rainbox Six, and Hardline....Cod will not get my money for the First time this year, I hate how they are doing Cod this time around, I don't want flying n jumping men,
Rainbow Six raped them
"Call of Duty vs Battlefield at E3 2014: Who won? Who even cares?" I do.And I think Battlefield won...
That CoD singleplayer looked piss poor to me, double jump looks like it's been carbon copied off Titanfall the way he jump shotted with the shotgun, hell even the shotgun looks really similar to the Titanfall one, then you got the Ray shields from Killzone in there for some reason, gun has zero recoil , overall it just looked bland and generic as hell, the only thing decent was the heat tracking grenades i guess, i don't see how they're going to make a decent mp mode off of that, too bad i was looking forward to it but oh well. BF Hardline mp looks like an expansion dlc to bf4 rather than a full game, not my cup of tea but to each his own i guess. Rainbow Six Siege looked more fun and unique than both, graphically it's worse than both i think but the destruction more than makes up for it, will be looking forward to more footage of that for sure, because i really need a game on my ps4 to scratch that fps mp itch i got.
Cod finally looks different enough to warrant a purchase and does look next gen. Killzone with perks and kill streaks basically. The main issue will be wether any of Treyarchs bulls$&& makes it into this game, and if Sledgehammer has figured out how to make a proper CoD style map. Less clutter like MW3 and no maps that resemble anything in Ghosts. Battlefield Hardline looks like a reskin of BF4 so it seems pointless to buy it as we already own BF4. The Battlefield franchise has become annual and EA is a mess. No thanks.
So the answers are neither won and few people even care anymore?
COD, it didn't look like the old games but this year, battlefield: hardline did to me.
Both looked very stale and nothing really new, reskinned versions of the previous titles. Its good most people finally notice that So much more better games coming out aside of shooters. As for multiplayer fps though.. R6 looked alot more interesting than both Hardline and CoD combined lol
