GeekParty's Josh Wirtanen writes: "Every year I check out Microsoft’s E3 press conference, and every year I feel like they keep forgetting that E3 is an event primarily for gamers."
The article (if you can even call it that, it's so short) was basically saying Microsoft focused completely on games and the gamers instead of Kinect and TV features. That's why it reminded the author of a Sony press conference. At least that's what I got from reading it.
Sony e3's aren't made up of 90% multiplatforms.
"Sony e3's aren't made up of 90% multiplatforms." you're not even trying. halo, fable, forza, sunset, ori, Scalebound, Phantom Dust, and crack down 3 are NOT on WII-U,PC,ps4, if so show proof.
@devilogrefish all the games you mentioned had limited time at the show since they where shown as cgi trailers, the majority of the conference was devoted to multiplats go on and 're watch it call of duty alone took up quite some time and that game is coming to the ps4 so try harder yourself
theshonen8899 - "I can't show proof because you're right. i'm still going to disagree regardless if that's ok with you." - MonsterChef "I can't show proof because you're right. i'm still going to disagree regardless if that's ok with you." sure i'm ok with it. it just doesn't prove anything. all of your comments fail in logic and are just rants and nitpicking.
DevilOgreFish: Dude, I didn't even say anything to you or disagree. Calm down. I thought their conference was too much multiplats. If you're okay with that ratio of multiplats then you can either respectfully disagree or act like a child.
Dont even bother trying to understand this author as it was the same site that tried to start a controversy where there was none saying ubisoft is going after females and assasinating them in the reveal trailer of AC unity and its wrong.... Yeah
Not sure if it felt like a "Sony Press Conference," but it definitely was a step up from last year's. I didn't like Microsoft's Press Conference last year, but this one wasn't that bad. Last year all I heard was Call of Duty, Call of Duty, Call of Duty has fish, Call of Duty, and Call of Duty DLC comes first to Xbox One. They saved my ears of that this year. And for that, thank you, Microsoft, thank you. xD
i still think MS conference was dissatisfying with it's FPS games. sony will be dissatisfying at the same time tho, nothing shown will be releasing this year pretty much.. 3rd party was amazing. #witcher3 #division #Acreed..
Not sure what the disagrees are about. The fish AI was pretty awesome though. Maybe that's why.
Probably because I said I didn't like last year's conference and that it was pretty much all about CoD. Or maybe it was simply because they could. Or maybe all of the above. Or maybe..Nah I don't think I need to say anymore.
It was great but was anyone else really shocked? A lot of these announcements I saw coming.
They were practically all leaked by ntkrnl: http://www.neogaf.com/forum...
and thats why there was no "shock" factor...if ntkrnl didnt post those leaks, the halo master cheif collection alone would have been a megaton cause ppl would have only expected either halo 2 anni and/or halo 5 guardians announcement...not the whole 1-4 series for xbone
This is how all conferences should be. No one cares about your sales numbers, your gimmicks, your social crap or tv integration. Just give us games. Had they had a few triple A new Ip's it would be unbeatable. Definitely the best conference performance wise.
No it didn't.
Sony's press conferences are not made up of 90% multiplatform games. So you're right there.
No one said that? Go away troll, Xbox E3 was great IMO!
Last years Sony's E3 press conference was, or did you miss that?
not at all, wtf
It didn't feel like a Sony E3 Press Conference because it didn't feel awesome! On a more serious note, it was a big improvement overall compared to their usual E3 press conferences in the past. It was mostly third party games that were shown and the first party exclusive reveals were all CGI and not in game. Would love to have seen gameplay of Scalebound, but it was all sadly CGI.
Better than the Poncho's and Skittle ? No way .. Better than NFL , TV TV TV , Fish ai ? No way !!? Of course it was better lol. start from bottom there is only one way and its up.
Precisely. At least this year, their show wasn't cringe worthy with emphasis placed on AI fish, TV, apps, Cirque Du Soleil, and....Usher lol.
UMMMM yeah, that was a Microsoft Xbox One event, not E3... Last year Microsoft showed mostly games at E3 Microsoft killed it at E3 this year,.... I can't wait to see what Sony brings. Please stop Sony fanboy hating today.. Just grow up and be excited for the games that are coming. Who cares about what console it comes out on. See I own both... why? Because I like great games Sony has great games, Microsoft has great games, Nintendo has great games... You've been sceaming about Xbox one for the past year, everyone is pass that, it was 2013.
Best Microsoft presser in years, don't see that as a bad thing.
Best MS presser yes. In this article it's compared to Sony's E3 and if that's the case then it's a decent presser. This one had some good news and great potential. But last year we were "OMFG TITANFALL MECHS" at least I was. This year was good news, but not shockingly great news!
It didn't feel like a Sony conference. It felt like a Microsoft conference before Kinect was announced and thats a good thing.
That's an excellent way of saying it, it did feel that Microsoft lost sight of things so much when they saw how successful the Wii was that they completely abandon what got them in the business in the first place
It was good they brought Games, Games and more games. Everything was just as expected or leaked. Nothing was super surprising or made me feel like I should go buy and X1 right now.
Sunset overdrive? Forza Horizon2? Project Spark? Oci + the bind forest? Deadrising3 cool dlc? Fable Legends? Scalebound? Crackdown? Phantom Dust?
Sunset overdrive looks like something I want and Scalebound looks interesting. Everything else is just ok not very convincing.
Sony had a weak press conference last year that was overshadowed by the terrible Xbox One reveal. This was much more exciting than that Sony conference.
WoW, M$ must have really felt that blow last year. And why did that conference decorated by so many Stars of David??? http://www.engadget.com/201...
You have to admit, despite the amount of multiplats, it was still a good showing. And lets not pretend Sony wont be showing multiplats tonight. And lets be honest here. This years MS E3 was miles better than last year's Sony E3. The only thing that made it good was the policy issues and MS basically gave them a win... As for the article, it felt like an off year Sony conference like 2010 or 2007 where there were no surprises but plenty of games...
