Criterion, developer of Burnout and Need for Speed, revealed its next game during EA’s E3 press conference today. The game has no title yet, but the first-person, “action sports” title has vehicles at the center and Oculus VR on the mind.
This could be really great stuff. I hope Criterion delivers something new and fresh. Make up for not making Burnout...
That wasn't entirely their decision. But I know what you mean!
I'm sick of 1st person games.
Its ok, first person games are sick of you too.
I thought the same but Wolfenstein reminded me I love the genre too much
I want to finish off Kaguya: Off topic On Topic: FPS can blow into the wind(Vegeta Quote).
this game is going to blow. it seems like EA Made them make a game like what they originally want the SSX game to be a few years ago. im very disappointed in this. i actually expect this to get cancelled very soon.
same here i was excited but then that was shot down
Did not look interesting to me at all. Would have preferred a new Burnout.
I saw their logo and thought with heart pumping from excitement.. new burnout..!! Then it turned into some extreme sports game.. sadness.
They just love the word "Sports" don't they.
This is just totally wrong. First Battlefield: Hardline, which does not even fit into the franchise and simply will not work over a long amount of time and now this piece of garbage. First mistake first person perspective, second mistake arcade playstyle with no real goal at all. Watch out, this happens if you watch to much extreme sports videos on YouTube. Criterion should have sticked to racing games, instead of this.
"arcade playstyle with no real goal at all" Did you get an exclusive look at the game that we didn't see? It was just prototype gameplay, they have barely anything set in stole, yet alone finalisation of what the game is going to contain.
If you would have paid any attetention you would have seen and heard, what this game is about.
Point me to the part where they state there is no real goal then. Don't worry, I don't expect you to, because they don't say that. What they did say is that the game is in very, very early development. Look at the prototype footage, some of the vehicles are extremely bland and don't even have textures! While your doing that, take note of how you can also clearly see time trials, and other goal oriented challenges on the hud.
They teased us w/ Burnout Paradise footage...but then I saw the helicopter and then I knew...this isnt going to be a new Burnout =(
so can i crash my atv into a helicopter.
