Hardcore Gamer: The popular shooter franchise is seeing a colorful reboot heading to Microsoft's flagship console.
Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!
With destruction "built into the cloud" according to Mr Spencer. I want them to elaborate and show us how that's coming along ASAP. That's the stuff people are waiting for from MS.
Oh man, I am STOKED to hear they are continuing the Crackdown franchise. Honestly that was one of the best games on the Xbox 360. But I agree, Microsoft needs to show proof of the cloud and not keep blowing steam. Though I think it'd be plausible, since they did display that destruction demo a while back, I want to know what happens when the cloud isn't accessible. Will there be a cache that stores physics simulation data?
Hopefully the game just requires a connection to play, and if that connection isn't there then you just don't play until it is. Anything less will mean half-assed unimportant features, rather than anything that defines the game. It might be a bit of a culture shock, but the likes of WoW have done alright just targeting connected people. It'll be accepted in single player scenarios too, but only if the benefits are really tangible.
Already shown in the tech demo Microsoft did on cloud powered destruction - check it out on YouTube - very impressive!
I called it. You can now refer me No_Limitdamus. http://n4g.com/news/1513526...
Oh my god, yes. I thought they abandoned this franchise.
im happy about this. Under-rated game. i cant say franchise cuz i hear part2 was trash.
Woohoo! Can't wait to try out the reboot!
2015 and beyond. Goddammit, I want this now.
Phil Spencer always said that he wanted Crackdown 3, looks great.
He also said that he liked Phantom dust. And Halo. And that he didn't like Brute Force. With hindsight, his hints were really not that subtle. Expect him to buy Nintendo as he said he likes them too! :)
crackdown coming exclusively to xbox one? why wouldn't it be!!!
Well, I was all ready to play it on SNES. This dashes all my hopes and dreams.
Well duh! The real question is, when are we going to see gameplay and will it be out before 2016? Microsoft's narrative at E3 was games but we barely got any gameplay on the exclusive ones, none on the newly announced ones, and the vast majority was multiplatform.
Good. Why show gameplay if gameplay isn't ready? This way WHEN they finally show gameplay there are no complaints of downgrades.
you don't say
pretty much the only game that will make me buy an Xbox One
I loved the first two so much, definitely excited for this one.
