343 Industries has officially announced Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been officially confirmed. It will feature: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4. It will run at 1080p/60 FPS with dedicated servers.
Definite day one buy for me. I'm so glad they kept the multiplayer in Halo 2 original.
Yep, Agreed dude:)
Nothing really impressive about a previous-previous gen game running at 1080p60... or even a last gen game. It should be expected, really.
I want this. But it doesn't require dedicated servers.
Halo 4 running at 1080p 60 fps is nothing short than seeing a next gen game. it had some impressive characters and animations.
@pumblechook... many games, even PS3 games, use dedicated servers. Why do you think that so many games last gen lost online connectivity because the servers went offline? MAG, GT5, the SOCOM games, etc...
Didn't play any halo games so this maybe for me to catch up to the series.
$60 for all is an undeniable great deal.
Definitely an amazing amount of content for $60 bucks. I wonder how they fit all the maps and single player games on one disk.
Each games engine will also have its own multiplayer
Finally a game or 4 no less that can go the whole hog 1080p/60fps... Oh there remakes, doh!!
Your point? I'm waiting for The Last of Us Remastered and I hope that it will be...wait for it...1080p with 60fps.
4 games 100 maps I don't got enough time to play all that. Most popular wil be halo 2 side of the four remakes I guess.
So you think it's amazing they can get old engines to run on newer hardware at 60 FPS? Okay.... Check it out man, I was running Half Life 2 on PC at like 200 FPS yesterday. My PC must be SO POWERFUL! ..
It's benefit is that you can switch between graphics. These aren't new engines but they did atleast adjusted the engine so they can run on other hardware with some new graphical features, but with same game-play.
lol, to funny. this is a fun planet is it not...
Servers and 60fps are probably the most important to me. This is one game a would totally buy even though am not that into halo. The content for the price is well worth it.
Why wouldn't it since the games are still running on their original engines? I'm glad that its 1070P 60FPS.
nice !! Not sure why 1080 and 60fps was even a question. They are after all re-master
I agree, if they weren't 1080p 60 fps I would of been very surprised.
if they didnt announce it people would be on here saying "omg they didnt say its 1080p so it must be lower!!!" this helped avoid the inevitable questions.
Easy to achieve with remakes and old engines I should think!
Can't wait to also play Halo 1 maps online!
Im confused by this, I know every map is available but is it every game has its own MP or is every map being made for halo 2 MP? im a lil confused...
I heard all halo games have their own servers, I am thinking they meant that all of it is online too.
THANK YOU first person that posted a clear answer @TIMOTIM
Not a halo fan but wow this is probably biggest thing in the show all features and bundling all games in 1
Damn you MS. You didn't disappoint me in the least. Only game I may not get out of your whole show might be fable. Other than that I can't wait to play many of these title coming.
personally this collection is going to be a real test for 343I, Because now in one game you will have the classic Halo 2 MP that everyone LAUDS as the best ever in the series. And then you will have the Beta for the future of the series and it will be interesting to see how many people will like Halo 5 or in the future play Halo 5 MP over Halo 2... Interesting predicament to me.
fuck yes this is going to be legend
Absolute definite buy for me. I was a PS guy last gen and only caught Halo 4. Question - are the graphics getting an upgrade (like Tomb Raider, TLOU etc)?
absolutely loved Halo 3, This is something to look forward too.
That's some damn good value right there.
one word. butt. like im 22 now in my halo days are long gone. im in to 3rd person now. division please save us all..
