Warriors need love, too: The complex state of marriage in MMOs

GamesBeat: "A few years ago, players gathering on a hillside in your favorite massively multiplayer online role-playing game almost certainly meant a raid group was forming. If you climb that hillside in 2014, your would-be combatant might end up as a witness in a marriage ceremony." (Activision Blizzard Inc., Age of Wushu, BioWare, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, PC, Snail Games, Star Wars: Old Republic, The Elder Scroll Online, World of Warcraft, ZeniMax Online)

Interesting. Wonder how many of these are "real" weddings (ie, couples in real life) versus people who are just role-playing their parts.

I do too. I have a feeling that 95% are friends or just for the perks, but I don't really know.

I could understand with the role play aspect Weddings would be nice. Especially since I generally would like to get involved especially being on Balmung.
