Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive, The Order: 1886, is going to allow you to meet real-life inventors of the time in the game, similar to what we’ve come to expect from games like Assassin’s Creed.
Nikola Tesla confirmation?
He could make a prototype arc cannon type of weapon for you. That would be amazing! Having real people do fictional things in-game fits into the devs vision for the game of taking history and flipping it onto its head in terms of what was real and what was fictional. Awesome. News like this makes my imagination race. I love it. Some other possibilities- Robert Wilhelm Bunsen- Creator of the Bunsen burner. Flame-thrower/torch type of weapon? Thomas Edison- Creator of the Electric Light bulb. Some kind of light weapon, or some sort of navigational light accessory? Alfred Nobel- Creator of a number of explosives, including Dynamite. http://www.enchantedlearnin...
Probably. We've already seen the arc gun and Tesla lived during that time period so most likely he is in there. I really like the idea of bringing real people into an alternative setting. Can't wait to see more at Sony's E3 conference. @Lucas: Interessting ideas. Since we've already seen the thermite rifle there is a strong possibility that Hans Goldschmidt is in the game as well as he discovered thermite. Edit: Interessting link. Coca Cola was Invented in 1886. Coke weapon confirmed./jk Edit 2: Wait a minute ... Black Water = Coke? ... I think I'm on to something.
Could be a gun that recharges off of the infinite free wireless energy (what tesla was working on), but the enemy has them too :D less powerful guns use less energy so bigger mags
One of the funniest bits in AC2 is when you meet DavVinci
I hope they have witty qte's to interact with them.
Tesla will be designing the weapon tech! ..I wonder who else has been digitized? I really hope Jack the Ripper has some involvement in this games story :) Edit @Luke Yup you're right The Ripper records date from 1888, but the already have weapons and aircraft in the game, of which never existed at all. Here's hoping Jack attacks...something! Lool :)
Jack the Ripper was 1888, if i recall correctly. But i guess they wouldn't necessarily have to stick to history 100%.
Funny enough I think one of the devs mentioned a possibility of Jack the Ripper This news actually hints at a bit of open world with The Order
They could even go to the extreme of portraying jack the ripper as some sort of supernatural creature, like a man who transformed into a werewolf come night, and murdered prostitutes. The game is known to have supernatural enemies, so i don't see why it couldn't work.
One can only 'hope' :)
And that's why he was never caught!!
I know Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz will be in the game
