Microsoft continuing its streak of positive news. This is great news for PC only gamers :-)

From that screenshot, I guess that means (HALO 2 Anniversary confirmed)?

aren't the Halo 2 servers still up on pc?

crxss1236d ago (Edited 1236d ago )

Yes they are but I can't get Halo 2 on Vista to to work with my windows 8.1 pc. So I am excite if they'll it with updated graphics for pc and not just xbox one, going by that picture. Doubt that's halo 2 vista running on that tablet.

@crxss did you search for the latest version patch? when trying to access online it downloaded a patch that made me not need the cd and for halo one a new patch adds that and 2k support(doesn't look that much better) I have windows 7 but it should be w8 happy too

Halo 2 has been out on PC since like 2007.

I don't think anyone is denying this

Volkama1236d ago

Meh. Wireless dongle please MS. I will stick with the 360 controller until then.

alexkoepp1236d ago

I need the wireless too, but this is still great news.

Volkama1236d ago

It's OK, but I get the feeling there will not be a wireless dongle this time around and that makes me sad.

Going between the 2, the new controller is a bit better than the old, but not betterer enough to sacrifice being wireless.

Yes I can finally use that titanfall controller I bought in march because it looked nice

Mega241236d ago

My question, will it work with Dark Souls 2? because I upgraded from 360 controller to Ds4, but you know ds4 only works with 360 emulators, but the feeling of the ds4 in my hands is so good. If this comes out with support for games like DS2 then I must get one, X1 controller is sexy, feels just as good in my hands as the ds4, it would be even better since emulators for the ds4 sometime start freakin' out.

Notramagama1236d ago

Check out the article good sir. Works for everything the 360 controller works with

Deividas1236d ago

Nice :) Guess ill have to go out and upgrade my PC controller now. Wooot

gamerfan09091236d ago

Speaking of this picture those Surface Pro tablets are bad ass. I've seen people play battlefield, WOW, Diablo, and Titanfall on those things. I would get one, but I don't have 1500 bucks for a good one.

Convas1236d ago

If this isn't a demonstration that Microsoft is truly under new leadership, I don't what is.

We were on GAF pontificating about how MS was going to do this. Were they going to sell dongles again? When would the PC drivers come?

Not only have they come before E3, all we need is a micro-USB cord to connect to your PC. No further purchase needed. You can use your existing Xbox One controller on both PC AND XONE.

Combine that with the fact that instead of creating their own line of proprietary external hard drives, they let us use any kind we want ...

... Microsoft is changing for the better folks.

Letros1236d ago

The wired 360 controller didn't require a dongle, why would this one? It was just GAF being GAF.

One-Shot1236d ago

For those that need wireless...

LAWSON721236d ago (Edited 1236d ago )

I did not notice the micro USB was the cable used for Xbone that is awesome. Too bad they still make it impossible to have a wireless headset
