10 Songs That Transcend Video Game Music

"Without great music to accompany them, great games would fall flat. In recent years, video games have been given the same treatment as movies and television shows when it comes to their soundtracks. This resulted in some of the most incredible pieces of music I have ever heard. Below is a list of 10 amazing pieces from the world of video games. This list is not a traditional top list, but simply ten selections of music that have changed the way I think about video game music." - Neil Scanlon of Geekenstein (BioShock: Infinite, Culture, DmC: Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto IV, Journey, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, PC, PS3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Wii, Xbox 360)

Why the Halo series is so absurdly overlooked in most of these lists, I have no clue...

To put it simply........hate, hate, hate, hate. Too many Buck Nasties out there.

On subject though. I would add Halo. Especially Finish the fight. Horse ride in Jerusalem from Asassin's Creed. And, maybe my personal favorite, Arnhem Knights from Medal of Honor Frontline.

I've never played Halo, but I've heard some songs. Honestly, what I've heard sounded like generic rock guitar strumming.
