GearNuke: "Xbox One exclusive Dead Rising 3 could be making its way to PC."
Article updated with the Steam app info. The game is in Steam DB with a supposedly code name 'Walking' and its info was updated recently.
It's not coming to PC :( Microsoft own the ip Edit: Microsoft published the game.
H-Huh? Shouldn't that mean it has a good chance of coming to PC? I'm pretty sure it's inevitable though, I would be very surprised if this stayed a console exclusive.
"Article updated with the Steam app info. The game is in Steam DB with a supposedly code name 'Walking' and its info was updated recently." Does that mean it will be called 'Walking Dead 3' or something like that? how does that work if MS published the game and yet it is supposed to come to Steam? MS & Steam????
Phil said they would do more regarding pc gaming. So it wouldn't be a surprise or this could just be one of those cases and besides i read something recently about a huge announcement to be made at ms e3 conference regarding dead rising 3. Anyhw if this game is going to steam then MS definitly has something to do with it cos not only puvlished it they also funded the development&according to capcom the game would never be made if not for MS. My guess is that ms and valve may announce some sort of partnership or something at e3 regarding MS published titles.it may just be pc related though or it could be more than that.
Other games on Steam, published by Microsoft include: *******2011******** - Fable The Lost Chapters - Fable III *******2012******** - Age of Empires III: Complete Edition - Age of Empires Online - Deadlight - Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet - Iron Brigade - Mark of the Ninja - Microsoft Flight - Toy Soldiers *******2013******** - Age of Empires II HD + The Conquerors - Age of Empires II HD: The Forgotten - Dust: An Elysian Tail - Ms. Splosion Man - Pinball FX 2 - The Harvest - State of Decay *******2014******** - Age of Mythology: Extended Edition - Happy Wars - LocoCycle - Rise of Nations: Extended Edition - Max: The Curse of Brotherhood - Halo: Spartan Assault http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
No, capcom owns the IP. Microsoft published the game.
That doesn't rule out a PC version of the title just because MS funded the development on console..
They don't, also Halo and Gears are owned by MS and they have PC releases soooo theory mute. Of course it's coming to PC, it wouldn't be an Xbox One exclusive if it wasn't multiplatform.
The last halo game that released on PC was Halo 2 and that was 10 years ago. The only gears game to release on PC was the first one and its been 8 years since that game came out.
^ owned Some people don't really realize the real reality of PC gaming on major franchises.
@ats1992 Halo: Spartan Assault Release Date: Apr 4, 2014 Platform: PC @palitera You mean the reality that major franchises are doing better than ever on PC? Loving Mortal Kombat Komplete, Dark Souls 2, Injustice, Naruto, and the countless other used-to-be-console-only franchises that are coming to PC these days. @ats1992 below "The last halo game that released on PC was Halo 2 and that was 10 years ago." From your own mouth. I proved you wrong get over it.
@ sorane Facepalm thats not a game in the main series its a cell phone game ported to PC and Xbox.
Microsoft does NOT own the IP....Please know what your talking about before you speak, or just don't speak.... And it doesn't matter that Microsoft published the game, again this conversation has been had over and over and over...Ninja Gaiden 2 was published by MS, a year later Ninja Gaiden sigma 2 was released on PS3....Mass Effect 1 was published by MS, also ended up on PS3....
The only reason the Mass effect went to ps3 is because EA bought Bioware you people always seem to forget that.
ats- yes but even so, the first game was funded by microsoft. it exists with MS money.
I can think of some XB360 games published by Microsoft that come to PC, Alan Wake, Mark of the Ninja, Deadlight, I'm sure there are more
don't forget the Fable series as well.
Just a couple of days ago Max: The Curse of Brotherhood (published by Microsoft) was released on the PC.
@lelo You do know MAX was coming to 360/One. So no doubt they will release on PC
If Microsoft start releasing their exclusives on the PC, then what's the point of having a X1?
you do know, capcom made a mistake right bfore release and said, dr3 was a holiday exclusive by mistake. thus, the reason why its coming to pc. dead rising 3 didnt even make 2 million copies sold, the game needs a boost and what better platform than pc to put it on. its an ms esclusive, not just xbox 1. xbox 1 and pc can be one and succeed as one if needed be.
There is not a company named "PC" last time I checked.
thanks, you have officialy made the DUMBEST comment in a while.
That's means It's is coming to PC bro.
PC = MICROSOFT XBOX = MICROSOFT
"Rumor: Dead Rising 3 Could Be Coming To PC" cool if true. too bad this game took up the burden of being a cross platform launch title. it could have been much more optimized had they saved it for later on.
Now explain to me why Microsoft wouldn't want to make extra money off sales from PC, on a software platform they own? People buy the game, they make money, people use there OS and increase market share, they make money, see where this is going?
But dont Microsoft also made Windows 7 and 8?
You know Microsoft also makes Windows, right?
Microsoft owns PC
Even if microsoft owns the IP then Windows is also their platform and they have their rights to port their exclusive games to PC
MS can publish the game it means nothing. They published bioshock, Sony published Final Fantasy VII and both them games didn't stay exclusive. Publishing means nothing when it comes to exclusive rights as it just levys costs from developers. In return they can give exclusive rights but this is MS those rights wouldn't have been permanent as they never pay a lot for exclusives at least not enough to keep it permanently exclusive.
thats a good idea they should do the same to ryse to boost sales. Plus it benefits both pc and xbox gamers in the long run.
Microsoft owns Ryse IP. Capcom owns Dead Rising IP. It is more likely for Dead Rising and less likely for Ryse.
