GearNuke: "Xbox One exclusive Dead Rising 3 could be making its way to PC."
Article updated with the Steam app info. The game is in Steam DB with a supposedly code name 'Walking' and its info was updated recently.
It's not coming to PC :( Microsoft own the ip Edit: Microsoft published the game.
H-Huh? Shouldn't that mean it has a good chance of coming to PC? I'm pretty sure it's inevitable though, I would be very surprised if this stayed a console exclusive.
"Article updated with the Steam app info. The game is in Steam DB with a supposedly code name 'Walking' and its info was updated recently." Does that mean it will be called 'Walking Dead 3' or something like that? how does that work if MS published the game and yet it is supposed to come to Steam? MS & Steam????
Phil said they would do more regarding pc gaming. So it wouldn't be a surprise or this could just be one of those cases and besides i read something recently about a huge announcement to be made at ms e3 conference regarding dead rising 3. Anyhw if this game is going to steam then MS definitly has something to do with it cos not only puvlished it they also funded the development&according to capcom the game would never be made if not for MS. My guess is that ms and valve may announce some sort of partnership or something at e3 regarding MS published titles.it may just be pc related though or it could be more than that.
Other games on Steam, published by Microsoft include: *******2011******** - Fable The Lost Chapters - Fable III *******2012******** - Age of Empires III: Complete Edition - Age of Empires Online - Deadlight - Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet - Iron Brigade - Mark of the Ninja - Microsoft Flight - Toy Soldiers *******2013******** - Age of Empires II HD + The Conquerors - Age of Empires II HD: The Forgotten - Dust: An Elysian Tail - Ms. Splosion Man - Pinball FX 2 - The Harvest - State of Decay *******2014******** - Age of Mythology: Extended Edition - Happy Wars - LocoCycle - Rise of Nations: Extended Edition - Max: The Curse of Brotherhood - Halo: Spartan Assault http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
No, capcom owns the IP. Microsoft published the game.
That doesn't rule out a PC version of the title just because MS funded the development on console..
They don't, also Halo and Gears are owned by MS and they have PC releases soooo theory mute. Of course it's coming to PC, it wouldn't be an Xbox One exclusive if it wasn't multiplatform.
The last halo game that released on PC was Halo 2 and that was 10 years ago. The only gears game to release on PC was the first one and its been 8 years since that game came out.
^ owned Some people don't really realize the real reality of PC gaming on major franchises.
@ats1992 Halo: Spartan Assault Release Date: Apr 4, 2014 Platform: PC @palitera You mean the reality that major franchises are doing better than ever on PC? Loving Mortal Kombat Komplete, Dark Souls 2, Injustice, Naruto, and the countless other used-to-be-console-only franchises that are coming to PC these days. @ats1992 below "The last halo game that released on PC was Halo 2 and that was 10 years ago." From your own mouth. I proved you wrong get over it.
@ sorane Facepalm thats not a game in the main series its a cell phone game ported to PC and Xbox.
Microsoft does NOT own the IP....Please know what your talking about before you speak, or just don't speak.... And it doesn't matter that Microsoft published the game, again this conversation has been had over and over and over...Ninja Gaiden 2 was published by MS, a year later Ninja Gaiden sigma 2 was released on PS3....Mass Effect 1 was published by MS, also ended up on PS3....
The only reason the Mass effect went to ps3 is because EA bought Bioware you people always seem to forget that.
ats- yes but even so, the first game was funded by microsoft. it exists with MS money.
I can think of some XB360 games published by Microsoft that come to PC, Alan Wake, Mark of the Ninja, Deadlight, I'm sure there are more
don't forget the Fable series as well.
Just a couple of days ago Max: The Curse of Brotherhood (published by Microsoft) was released on the PC.
@lelo You do know MAX was coming to 360/One. So no doubt they will release on PC
If Microsoft start releasing their exclusives on the PC, then what's the point of having a X1?
you do know, capcom made a mistake right bfore release and said, dr3 was a holiday exclusive by mistake. thus, the reason why its coming to pc. dead rising 3 didnt even make 2 million copies sold, the game needs a boost and what better platform than pc to put it on. its an ms esclusive, not just xbox 1. xbox 1 and pc can be one and succeed as one if needed be.
There is not a company named "PC" last time I checked.
thanks, you have officialy made the DUMBEST comment in a while.
That's means It's is coming to PC bro.
PC = MICROSOFT XBOX = MICROSOFT
"Rumor: Dead Rising 3 Could Be Coming To PC" cool if true. too bad this game took up the burden of being a cross platform launch title. it could have been much more optimized had they saved it for later on.
Now explain to me why Microsoft wouldn't want to make extra money off sales from PC, on a software platform they own? People buy the game, they make money, people use there OS and increase market share, they make money, see where this is going?
But dont Microsoft also made Windows 7 and 8?
You know Microsoft also makes Windows, right?
Microsoft owns PC
Even if microsoft owns the IP then Windows is also their platform and they have their rights to port their exclusive games to PC
MS can publish the game it means nothing. They published bioshock, Sony published Final Fantasy VII and both them games didn't stay exclusive. Publishing means nothing when it comes to exclusive rights as it just levys costs from developers. In return they can give exclusive rights but this is MS those rights wouldn't have been permanent as they never pay a lot for exclusives at least not enough to keep it permanently exclusive.
thats a good idea they should do the same to ryse to boost sales. Plus it benefits both pc and xbox gamers in the long run.
Microsoft owns Ryse IP. Capcom owns Dead Rising IP. It is more likely for Dead Rising and less likely for Ryse.
Agreed Ryse will not come to PC the IP is owned by MS whereas DR3 it was only published by MS. Bioshock is a typical example of a game in the past published by MS on the xbox.
I doubt its coming to PC but its possible.
If it does come out I hope they update the character models for the main characters. Resolution and framerate and such is a given, but the character models were the one part of the package that really hampered the visual presentation IMO. Particularly as it launched alongside Ryse.
Shinobi said something dead rising related will be announced at e3.
Halo has been in the steam DB for years, this means absolutely nothing.
Exactly everybody seems to forget that.
Never got to the point where there header image was in the database though: http://media.steampowered.c... Looks a bit too calculated to not be happening. It was running on a PC at E3: https://www.youtube.com/wat... Halo is a Microsoft flagship franchise. Dead Rising 3 isn't. I'm also sure people thought Alan Wake would always stay exclusive to the 360 until Remedy announced it and its "sequel" for PC. Remedy has roots in PC. Quantum Break for PC in a few years? count on it.
MS has said they want to support PC gaming more. It COULD come to PC.
Well MS will always have a get out clause.. Shareholders for years have been talking about selling Xbox division. Of course not all share that thought and thus its not been sold. So splitting games between W8 and Xbox makes sense for securing there own future. If they do end up selling they will already have backing of devs on PC.. Especially with a lot of games getting ported to Linux/steambox now.. MS has everybody attacking them from all sides right now and as big as they are I feel they need to concentrate on one division instead of splitting resources like they are or they could crumble.. Bing is dead, IE is dead, Zune died a log time ago so xbox, windows and office is there biggest earners but free and cheaper alternatives attacking those divisions and they are not strong enough to fight back on 3 fronts.
MS's CEO just said the other day they're not selling Xbox. I think the recent moves like putting Phil Spencer in charge backs that up.
I would LOVE to play DR3 @1080p + 60 fps
Who would disagree with that??? DR3's framerate is horrible on XB1. Bringing it to PC could completely fix that.
You're going to need a powerful PC to play that game in 1080p 60FPS with all those enemies on screen. You probably need a really good CPU too.
I wonder if this means that Deep Down will also come to PC eventually, because Capcom ...
but Sony and capcom are making deep down. Microsoft funded dead rising 3.
Don't see how that changes anything. Microsoft and Capcom also "made" Dead Rising 3.
@Convas, Microsoft funded it. capcom made dead rising 3.. i highly doubt deep down wil be on anything other than ps4. especially since Sony's own studio is helping capcom make the game.
Its possible but deep down looks impressive tech wise but something about it for me makes it look meh.. Not to mention F2P..
i hope it come on ps4. from what i played it was fun as hell
one of the only reasons I bought an xbox one...great
More than likely it will, should have much better fps as well because the one on Xbox One dips pretty low.
Dead rising 1 2 and otr came to PC why is this so hard for people to wrap their head around it?
Half the fanboys here have no idea how many games are actually on PC. That might be why.
NOOOOOOOOOOO! I'm getting an xbox one and DR on friday............ but it's coming to pc beeeeeeep!
I really hope this comes to PC with added optimization, features and possibly a mod community. This game could be amazing on PC. Plus more people can enjoy it like me its gonna be a little bit till I get a Xbox One but this would be really nice as its one of my most sought games on the system.
I do not enjoy this game at all on my Xbox One, Ruse was 100x better IMO.
I tell you what MS, if you even say the words PC gaming at E3 I will take you more seriously with this so called we want to do more for PC gaming. As for this game, I thought the gameplay felt clunky in the demo and really dont want it
So much for all these "exclusives" that xbox one had
pc master race
In one weird E3 rumor.... Dead Rising 3 was part of Microsoft's presentation. They said they're is something 'big' with Dead Rising 3 to announce. Definitely odd since it's a launch title. Highly doubt need of a PC port qualifies as 'big'.
The same thing happened to DR2. They said they had no plans for it and that it was exclusive to X360 at the time then later on we got a PC version. DR3 will come to PC no doubt as most major Capcom games do.
DR2 was announced to all consoles and PC at the same day , what are you talking about ?
Without a petition this time.
I'd rather have the first Dead Rising game on PC, it was awesome, but 3 will do I guess.
Pretty sure it is coming to PC http://www.steamfirst.com/d...
It's pointless to get an Xbone. Keep releasing your games on PC, MS!
