Blizzard is planning on taking justice to the next level by pursuing legal action against StarCraft 2 hackers.
It'll be interesting to see how this all turns out. While I hate cheaters in games who do this kind of stuff, I don't really feel like sending someone to jail for cheating is acceptable. Nor is having a billion dollar corporation suing a kid or there parents for monetary damages. These companies should really take responsibility and fix holes in there code and higher staff to investigate accusations and issue bans. I mean, technically this isn't hacking as they are not really tampering with the server itself only intercepting data on there own computer. There is a social obligation to allow people to inspect the data on and coming into there own computers if for no other reason than to be able to understand and watchdog to keep people safe from viruses and to have information about what type of data is being collected by programs on ones own computer.
