Watch Homefront: The Revolution Trailer, Coming To PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2015

Wage guerrilla warfare and reclaim the streets of Philadelphia in "Homefront: The Revolution" – a captivating new free roam FPS to be co-published by Crytek and Deep Silver.

Coming to Xbox One, PlayStation®4, PC, Mac and Linux in 2015, Homefront: The Revolution throws players into a near future dystopia where catastrophic events have brought the USA to its knees and enabled North Korean forces to impose a brutal military occupation. Trapped in this American nightmare, Philadelphia – Birthplace of Independence – has become a police state, where surveillance drones and armored patrols keep her once-proud citizens at heel, crushing any dissent with savage force.

The story is too old to be commented.

Visually its probably gonna be awesome. So far so good, but E3 will show some game-play so that should be good.

Glad its next gen/PC only too.

If those are in game they're impressive. I look forward to seeing it up and running.

Wow, those graphics are incredible. I have to say that is probably the best real-time graphics that I have seen yet. And I loved the concept of Homefront but it wasn't executed quite as well as we might have hoped. This new vision for the game looks amazing. I can't wait.

Is this a direct sequel to Homefront? Or is it going to be like a reboot where the same thing happened but they ignore the first game.

You know just because they've called it Homefront: The Revolution instead of Homefront 2

NYC_Gamer1175d ago

"Crytek UK's Homefront: The Revolution isn’t a reboot, but it is taking the series in a decidedly different gameplay direction."

So a near future semi feel. It looks impressive. Not even a direct sequel. I hope the Former Free Rad staff handles this well. I'm haven't seen anything that'll make me jump for joy yet.

Jsoc1175d ago

It looks good I hope this is part two of the first one and not just a reboot of the first Homefront.... But for now I'll be following ....

What a trailer wow! I want it now :-):-):-). Going to pop in the original Homefront in my 360 for a fix.

WeAreLegion1175d ago

Oh, so we're still fighting the North Korean troops? I was hoping for an American revolution against our own government. Oh well. I guess I'll have to wait for that game. :/

modesign1175d ago

according to videogames north korea is a superpower.lol

DeadlyFire1175d ago

No, no. Only Homefront's original developers believed North Korea could be a superpower.

likeaboss3021175d ago (Edited 1175d ago )

I remember the first game was supposed to be China instead of North Korea but was changed during development.

Never mind that was the second Red Dawn movie...

A current day American Revolution game would be an interesting story line

ginsunuva1175d ago

Why would we revolt against our own government? Because they're tracking our internet usage?

You know we elect most government authorities ourselves? We can elect whomever we want anytime.

WeAreLegion1175d ago

The NSA is just the icing on the cake. Our government is becoming too powerful. I believe the general consensus now is that we're afraid of them. We should not be afraid. We employee them. We elect them. We need policies changed right now.
