A Look Back- Killzone: Shadow Fall

TechRaptor (Stephen Gillespie) - This look back fits nicely with the site’s review of Killzone: Shadow Fall, but after putting far too many hours into the game I needed to somehow make it worthwhile. I don’t come here to dig up Shadowfall and praise it; I come here to once again point out why it was buried. It’s not a unique take, but it’s mine.

Most PS4 reviews were based on this game and AC4. Had this game been better, it'd have gotten more A's and less B's.

I really enjoyed KZSF. In fact I'm playing through it again right now.

Killzone SF is an average game. The main story and campaign mode suffers because of the inclusion of yet another useless multi-player mode. The game has sold plenty of copies, but so did COD Ghosts. I suspect that a large portion of the people who purchased both of these games bought them because the PS4's launch library was pretty light and people were looking for something to do, at least that's what happened in my case.

...but the launch library had some 20+ games. And the multiplayer is actually the biggest draw to the series, making it far from useless.

Killzone SF is BOSS! The online mp is what keeps me plasying every day. Every kill means something, especially with very little aim assist and heavy weaspon feel! You have to be good! Not for the average.
