Metro Redux PS4/Xbox One vs Metro 2033 & Last Light Comparison Screens Shows Big Graphics Difference

Metro: Redux on PS4 runs at 1080p/60 FPS and at 900p/60 FPS on Xbox One, how difference does it look as compared to Metro: Last Light and Metro 2033 (Metro 2033, Metro Redux, PS3, PS4)

You're easily startled.

Screens don't show how bad the last gen versions were. Those versions were playable but just plain ugly. Doesn't stand up to Bioshock at all.
Ashunderfire86  +   348d ago
that the most gayest reaction I ever seen lol! Good one.
VforVideogames  +   347d ago
And what's the point of doing this comparison ? very stupid if you ask me.
kiz2694  +   348d ago
The new remastered version, sort of looks happier/brighter? which im not sure is a good thing for this type of game, seems to have removed the cool ery atmosphrere captured in the previous editions.
Software_Lover  +   348d ago
I wouldn't call them graphical differences, more like art direction differences. They actually changed things.
Crazay  +   348d ago
Are you sure this is comparing apples to apples here? Feels a little like ps4 to xbox 360.
FITgamer  +   348d ago
All of the screenshots are PS4/PS3 except the last one which is PC.
angelsx  +   348d ago
Looks amazing.1080p 60fps on ps4 for me.
Crazay  +   348d ago
It's amazing to know that you managed to get your hands on a game that was just announced yesterday.
Sevir  +   348d ago
He said it "looks amazing..." and that the version for him is the PS4 version.

How in the world did you deduce that he got his hands on the game already from him saying that the game looks amazing?

This is a duplicate article, I think.

A question as I've never played Metro:
Is it basically Fallout 3? It looks very like it, that's all.
liquidhalos  +   347d ago
No its nothing like the fallout games. Similar backdrops but that's about it. Metro is a more hardcore survival type FPS that really, really gets you counting your ammo. Both good games in their own right however they play and feel completely different.
Realplaya  +   348d ago
Man this BS the game looks good on both systems I swear this whole 1080P/60FPS discussion is killing me. Developers aren't saying here's a better game their saying here's a prettier game. If a game is a testament to a remake done right WW is it not only better looking but added functionality.

Huge difference

Comparing the PS3 versions to the PS4 versions....
ironmonkey  +   348d ago
so much for this pc power they call.
Eyesoftheraven  +   348d ago
I'm confused. Why is this happening?
pwnsause_returns  +   348d ago
Because they're awesome games, and last gen people missed a lot of metro, particularly the ps3 people.
rivencleft  +   348d ago
Can't wait to get my hands on it, looks awesome, a remaster I will definitely buy.
mochachino  +   348d ago
So no xone versus PS4 comparison at all then. What a misleading title.

Down voted.
liquidhalos  +   347d ago
I font it disgusting that the same group of hacks keep approving articles like this. Nobody is even making them change the title for this article.

I might make an article called "Future built Sega Dreamcast found in crashed UFO in Mojave desert goes on sale"

Then just have pictures of me scratching my balls watching the game.

This site needs to be down voted off of N4G permanently. At the moment all they seem to do is lie to and insult us gamers for clicks.
BX81  +   347d ago
Lol. You reminded me of a scene from spaceballs the movie, where he goes off about being surrounded by assholes.
Myze  +   347d ago
While the title is a tad misleading, it definitely doesn't say they are comparing ps4 and x1 versions to each other. Also, there is no 2033 and Last Light being released for the ps4/x1, it's called Redux.

Again, I'm not saying the title isn't misleading somewhat (really all it's missing is "ps3" after "Last Light"), but it's not saying one thing and doing another.

I am Actually very excited for this i really enjoyed Metro series on 360 i would love to play it again on current,next-gen
kingduqc  +   348d ago
So console player need to pay twice to play games in HD.

ahahhahah
MasterCornholio  +   347d ago
On only paying once for this game and the same goes for the Last of Us and Tomb Raider.

What's your point?

P.S I never had those games on games PS3 or PC.

P.S.S And if GTAV rumors are true then I will only pay once for that game as well.

Valid point.

I don't see why people automatically assume every gamers gets to play every game. Due to time restraints I missed playing heaps of awesome games last gen.

I for one am overjoyed that I get to experience these games for the first time in their remastered glory.

Just finished Tomb Raider on PS4, great game. And kinda glad I never played the original last gen lol.
MasterCornholio  +   347d ago
Looks much better IMO.
ninjahunter  +   347d ago
Well, i wouldn't expect any less from a generational gap.

ShiftyEffect7  +   347d ago
Great news for PC pre-owners! You can buy the game again for a couple new modes, better AI behavior and slightly better graphics...what a joke.

Seriously cool for those who never owned it but a slap in the face for those who already own it. Nothing like paying for a glorified patch.
icheerbothconsoles  +   347d ago
who cares, both games were boring as shit.
esemce  +   347d ago
I will wait for reviews on these. And when they say 1080p/60fps are we talking a locked steady 60fps or is it going to be like BF4 and Killzone SF where the game hits 60fps now and then but mostly ends up running between 40 and 50 fps ? Because that's a big deal to me.
Pandamobile  +   347d ago
If this is a big deal to you, then you're playing on the wrong platform.
esemce  +   347d ago
It's a big deal to me because I play ALL the platforms, Ive got so much stuff on backlog that I have not gotten around to playing 2033 on PC yet even though I've had it for ages.

Hoping they improve gunplay/Ai etc so will wait and see if the PS4 holds up to the PC as I still prefer playing with a controller.

If the console versions are gimped then I will play on my PC with 360 pad.

Hope they do a good job and imagine how cool a Stalker 'HD' trilogy would be, but that will never happen.
frankiebeans  +   347d ago
Don't know why but I actually thought the ps3 version looked better in most of the shots. the ps4 version dont look right its too shiny.
Pandamobile  +   347d ago
I think your eyes might just be used to seeing things through PS3-o-vision.
