Top 10 Futuristic Racing Videogames

DC - "The future is a wonderful place full of possibility, excitement, and crazy new inventions such as flying cars. For racing games it allows for new ideas, faster top speeds, crazy track designs, and vibrant atmospheres. I thought XGRA was by far the worse in the Extreme-G series. The first was awesome, I had to have put over 100 hours in it. The second game was alright, but not as great as the first. The third was rather disappointing but once it grew on me I liked it more than the second game.

I to loved Extreme G 1 and 2 and in the first one the cars all had names like Phatty,Roach,Blunt, blaze,do to the shape of them plus what those dev's were smoking when they made Someone must have caught on because that changed in 2.Amasing they got it past Nintendo the first time though.Did anyone else notice this fun fact? I have never seen it talked about anywhere.Funny I didn't like the 3rd at first ether but it grew on me also.2 was cool because when you broke the sound barrier everything would go silent as you rocketed faster than any racer before it or since. The track design was indeed a bit better in the first. But they all were great games. That settles it I am hooking up the old N64 and playing these for the first time in 5 years or so tonight.

I like Kinetica also. But the one thing it lacked for me was speed.Great choice though I was going to bring it up before reading you post.On another note did you play Down hill Domination on PS2 by the twisted metal guys? That's a game that never got the respect it deserves.I guessing you did but if not it is still well worth playing today.Man this article made me remember how much I loved/love these kind of games.

I did. Wonderful game!

By the way, did you know Kinetica was the first game made on the engine God of War and God of War II were made on?
