Nathaniel Liles writes: "During my formative grade school years I was bullied constantly. Things were stolen, noses were punched, and being the peaceful dude I am, I never reciprocated the nose punches. While that just made me an easier target, apparently, I was constantly shocked, even at that age, by how little adults seemed to care or intervene. Even when things were happening in their immediate vicinity that would, in the adult world, land someone in super-jail. Well, to help combat the very real problem of bullying, developers involved in Halo and The LEGO Movie are working with TAPRR to create what is inaccurately hailed as Kickstarter’s first-ever anti-bullying inspired game, SumoBoy."
Playeressence was fortunate enough to catch up with the CEO of TAPRR studio, Chris Laurent this week. They have a brand new game on KickStarter called SumoBoy, and the title has a real unique spin to it. As it’s KickStarters’ first anti-bullying game, with a nice Japanese style and isometric view of combat.
8 or 9 hours? Why not 20 to 24? We aren't playing on smartphones, we're playing on gaming consoles.
Why would it be hard or extraordinary to get a game that basically looks about like DeathSpank in graphical complexity to render at 1080P and 60 FPS?

Welcome back for the 26th issue of The Koalition’s Kickstarter Weekly. I’ve included this week three projects that provide a little kick. Caffeine is a horror game that could possibly serve as a substitute for the real ingredient that makes coffee so special. SumoBoy is a game that pushes back against bullying. And Shiness is a JRPG that has a more powerful graphics than its competition. Kick back and enjoy the trailers!
GearNuke: "Over the years, video games have introduced us to a number of amazing characters that have made a home in our hearts. Characters so interesting and lovable that I need not even mention their names for you to realize who I am talking about. Well, here’s another character entering the world of video games pretty soon. And I think you’ll like him."
