Good guy CD Projeckt Red.

"We are treating all gamers equally"

Huge respect to them. It's a shame that attitudes like this are in such short supply amongst developers and publishers these days.

This respect goes both ways.

Their attitude is also money driven, since they know people will pirate less of their games and look forward more to them... But, then again, it proves that good business can be lucrative and done without abusive schemes and gimmicks all over.

lol at the disagress. Do you think their attitude is based on altruism or good samaritanism?
smh

Lets hope it doesn't feature gamestop exclusive content, that is the worst kind. I refuse to shop there.

Rockstar should take example of such a policy..

So the extra Nvidia physx effects doesn't count?

Baka-akaB1188d ago

extra effects are content now ? Come on

Mariusmssj1188d ago

Nvidia actually work with CDPR and send their staff to Poland. Witcher 2 is by far the best looking nvidia 3D game to date. CDPR is also working on PhysX themselves, they have made multiple contributions to PhysX system itself.

Good, this is the way all multiplats should be.

Yea, this is nice. That way, players across all platforms can enjoy every piece of content together. I always found it odd that developers would split gamers like that. Especially when each platform gets its own different content. Maybe someone on the PC wanted to play the extra PS4 missions, etc...

Its nice to take a step back in time, before all of this exclusive content bartering happened. It commercializes gaming in a way that isnt good for any consumer, as you have to pick and choose your platform, to play the content or get the swag you want. Not good for anybody except retailers trying to get an edge on their competition, by offering extra advertising or floor space to said game, for extra content that may sway one gamer or another to their "edition" of the game. Some of the content offering more insight to the back story or history of the world we are set loose to explore.

So, congrats CD Projeckt Red. I applaud your honor in not selling out to commerce, for a few extra sales. Thank you.

Dont feel it's an issue either way . Depends how it's done .If it's about using a console's specific feature and advantage why not ?

ANd actually it's a bit interesting when you're a multi console owner , it can be one of the things that can make you pick a version .

What i'm all against however , are shop specific (like gamestop's) exclusives .

GeraltofRivia1188d ago

shop specific exclusives for the Witcher 2 were given away for free over time for EVERY version of the game for The Witcher 2 I am sure they will do that again.

mogwaii1188d ago

Exclusive content has always been around in one form or another, i remember way back when mortal kombat 2 was released with full gore on megadrive and zero gore on snes, i was so bummed, lol, i know thats not exactly the same as today but its still one version better/different over the other.
