Namco claims F2P SoulCalibur uses "pay-to-win model"

Namco have claimed that there is no multiplayer in the free-to-play SoulCalibur: Lost Swords, because they wanted to go with a pay-to-win model.

Speaking with SiliconEra, producer Masaaki Hoshino states that, "SoulCalibur: Lost Swords will be the first in the franchise to be a free-to-play model. Unlike previous installments of the franchise, this time around, we’re looking at a single-player experience where it’s built around customization and really molding the character to fit your play style."

Hoshino claims that the reason for not having multiplayer is because they're "going with a pay-to-win model."
