'Lightsaber' add-on unveiled for Wii

Wii gamers will soon be able to play their Star Wars titles with an actual 'Lightsaber' rather than the Wii Remote after Competition Pro announced it is to launch the add-on this Friday.

The Light Sword, named to avoid any copyright issues, will be compatible with all Wii games. This includes Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and the forthcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

The Light Sword will be sold as a twin pack, featuring both a green and red sword for those who want to partake in duel battles, and they operate by sliding the Wii Remote into the sword's handle.

The swords, which boast motion-activated lights, will go on sale for £19.99. (LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed , Wii)
