Impressions: Echoes of Eridu | VGTODAY

"Echoes of Eridu isn’t shy about where it draws its inspiration from. The techno-infused 8-bit soundtrack, the colorful yet futuristic-looking character and enemy models along with some fast-paced platforming that requires timing and precision all invoke memories of playing Mega Man on the SNES when I was young. Even at first glance, Echoes of Eridu doesn’t look particularly original, and it would be hard not to compare it to the venerable franchise it is influenced by. As you begin to dig deeper, however, there is a game that has a ton of potential to be a great action-platformer on its own merits."
