My face can do CG-Level Facial Render as well, maybe even better.
Some will say they are no where near photo realistic, but in my opinion games like Heavy Rain, Beyond, & Quantic Dream's tech demos do a good job of facial animations.
I think one of the things they should do to improve the quality is apply local cube map reflections to the eyes of characters. I was working on some models in Blender trying to make more realistic eyes, and found that simple addition worked wonderfully. It's a small detail but I rarely see it used in games today.
Well FFXV is planning on having CG-like visuals, I guess it's just a matter of waiting to see if they keep it that way when it's released
It can't be done in mass scale,too much environment,they can do it with just a face because all the graphical power is on the face only.
But why quote the witcher 3 in relation to cg quality facial animation? From what we have seen so far it dosnt have that and i wouldnt expect it to as its a big open world game. The order i can understand because it is a cinematic game and does have great quality facial animation as we have seen.
