Flappy Bird sequel coming in August, creator promises to make it less addictive

Cult of Mac's Alex Heath says, "Flappy Bird’s sequel will have a new multiplayer element, and Nguyen promises that it will be less addictive. Nguyen reaffirms that his is working on other games, including one where a man jumps from building to building—the idea sounds a lot like Canabalt if you ask me." (Android, Flappy Bird, iPhone)

So he is going to make it suck? The best thing about this game was the fact that it was so addictive.

Less addictive? Isn't the whole point of a mobile game to be addictive?

Dude already has tons of money, I'm sure, so I guess, why not, do whatever you want... but it sounds stupid.

Everything I hear about this guy makes him sound like an idiot.

Also coming in August

Kotaku bashes the game for a few months, gets thousands of clicks, and forgets about it when people lose interest in their garbage excuse for "gaming" journalism.

Honestly, the way those idiots at Kotaku came down on the creator was brutal internet bullying to promote viewing on their now unpopular website. Heck, if that idiot Patricia could sue someone than this guy could have sued them for harassment.

This guy is really keeping up this moral facade.

It's simply called bs.

Oh shut up, "less addictive" what a smug prick. Made a 5 cent game that took 3 days to make with the most idiotic game play I've ever seen.

What trash...

Oh and also had "bot comments and ratings" created... pfft.

If it was that bad and had "Bot Comments" then I think he wouldn't have been making 50K daily. I agree the game isn't the most innovative but it got people's attention and was good app to pass time with.

The world grows off idiots that are fed on. Those people are cattle.

50k is represented by the scores. So him creating bot comments and increasing his score on the store would result in more people getting curious about the game, therefore attracting advertisements.

How can you make such a well constructed sentence with such poor facts?

The app store is exactly like the stock market, create an influence and prices go up, create a panic and prices go down.

Easy to influence.

It was never addicting to me... Play for a few minutes, turn off.

He should try making it good while he is at it
SpiralTear  +   336d ago
Why in the world is he flip-flopping so much? Right when people were actually starting to burn out on Flappy Bird since the guy claimed it was over, we hear this.
