Hardcore Gamer: WildStar has been in open beta since May 8th, with the level cap raised to 30 to celebrate, and thus far people seem to be really enjoying it.
Justin van Huyssteen from NoobFeed writes - The Metaverse is a nebulous concept that has been floated about, by some, as the next big thing, and people often want to jump on board these kinds of things. Metaverse has been in the news a lot, but should it be in the news as often as it is? Or is it just another gimmick?
I have no interest in a metaverse, just give me a good single player game. And to answer your question: no, it isn't.
Carbine Studios announced in September that the game would be shut down and that the studio would be closing. Since the announcement, players have been able to enjoy the full game without restriction and with a number of in-game events firing off for the last time.
WildStar offers epic high adventure, where players make their mark as Explorers, Soldiers, Scientists or Settlers and lay claim to a mysterious planet on the edge of known space.
This game came out of left field and now it seems to be one of the biggest MMOs.
I have been playing it but honestly I am bored already. Aside from some quirky graphics, its is the same MMORPG stuff we have seen for over a decade.
Dang... I LOVE this game's art style! I'm gonna have to try this some day.
