GearNuke: "D4 is an upcoming Xbox One exclusive from Hidetaka Suehiro, the creator of Deadly Premonition on the Xbox 360 and PS3."
This is another title I'm so excited about. Can't wait to see more.
What I've seen so far has me interested but not excited. They will have to show something really amazing considering this is a Kinect game before I get excited; I got my eye on it though.
The whole game can be played with just a controller, or a controller and Kinect the choice is yours I am very excited for the diversity of the future X1 games Games like D4 and Sunset Overdrive will bring different art styles and experiences
@ lifeisgamesok I thought this was a kinect only title? So you can use a controller instead of the kinect. Do you have a link saying you can do that.
@4show I have read two previews of the game and they were very positive ones. In both previews the writers actually said they were amazed by how much fun the game was with kinect. To their surprise they actually preferred using it instead of the controller. http://www.thesixthaxis.com...
"D4 was announced for Xbox One and at E3 it was demoed with Kinect controls. Siliconera met with Swery65 at Tokyo Game Show and he said while he designed D4 with Kinect in mind he realizes some people are unable to use it in their house or are shy, so he also added a controller option" http://www.siliconera.com/2...
@christocolus, OK we'll see. I'm not against the game, I hope my hesitation was all for nothing.
This game is on rails. Have fun with your Movie.
It seems a lot of games have Bern moved from 360 to one, lol
That Art Style = awesome.
Awesome. Deadly Premonition is one of my favorites. Can't wait for this.
Wow I actually forgot about this. +1 games to be excited for. Bring it on Microsoft!
Awesome! But when is it coming out!!! I thought it was a February release.
Heres a 15 min gameplay of it that flew under a load of peoples radar. http://uk.ign.com/videos/20... Cant wait
Nice freaking find! I had no idea they showed gameplay of it! The gameplay looks really awesome! I'm really looking forward to D4. Loved Deadly Premonition and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this one. One of the things I like the most is the look of the game. I'm a huge fan of that type of art style.
I just watched that video and definitely cannot see myself or anyone I know having fun with that. Good ideas but implementation needs work. I still can not see a game that completely relies on Kinect and is not on rails. Not my cup of tea but it maybe someone elses.
You don't have to use Kinect, you can use a controller, as well.
It's very similar to the gameplay of Heavy Rain or Beyond. Interesting visual style though.
That actually looks really entertaining. Kinect still isn't that convincing in the free roaming bits, but the fight scene looks quite intuitive and fun. More so than raw button QTE anyway.
Thanks! I go to ign.com everyday, but that gameplay video completely flew under the radar. Appreciate the find. Being that there will be a controller and KINECT option, I'm almost certain that one of the achievements will entail playing through the game using KINECT only. I'm willing to do just that, if it will make the experience more immersive. Looking forward to playing this game...
Seems it does not take much to get the 1's excited...
Game on !! Can't wait E3
Deadly Premonition was amazing, I think it was one of those hidden gems that wasn't actually that popular. Most my friends have never heard of it! Im very interested in this!
Is this "40k polygons" the new draw card for xbone? It's seems that every second xbone story has that.
This is literally the third story I have seen on it...
Someone used the word "literally" correctly!
This game look's very interesting I hope it turn's out good for Xbox and this is coming from a PS4 owner. At the end of the day game's are game's and I will admit it when I see a good looking game on the console I don't own.
I keep seeing 40k be throwing around this week. That's 40k compared to what? what was the average count per character like gen to put this in perspective.
Looking at both models, I would say the older one is around 10,000 polygons. So probably roughly around 4 times more detailed than it was on 360.
10k was considered good last generation.
look like a ps2 game ,no i am not Being Sarcastic
If you are not being sarcastic I challenge you to produce footage of a PS2 game with similar visuals
if your still doubtful http://www.freewebs.com/ang...
@mezati You know D4 is a cel shaded game right? Your showing us a 3d cgi character from two gens ago. Its flattering to see you comparing it to cgi cutscenes which feature full 3d models though..just goes to show how much the cel shading tech has evolved over the years. D4 is a very good looking game.
@meazati99 Well they aren't similar so yeah I'm still doubtful Also as someone else said D4 is a cell shaded game, so I suppose you think Borderlands 2 looked like a PS2 game also
What you showed were cut scene character models. Plus swerty have never been known for amazing visuals. Look at there work on deadly premonition.
40k isnt really that much IMO. upcoming skyrim mods have over 37k and thats without the head, hands and feet. not to mention hair. and there is already one with 36k (think it was close to 36300 if i remember correctly) 40k isnt something to boast about in this day and age IMO.
Didn't the latest Killzone characters sport 40k poly models as well?
Is this game supposed to be a sequel to the old D game from many years ago? I think it was on either PlayStation 1 or Saturn. I do remember playing it though. Also, can't remember, but it was probably a port.
I thought the same when I first saw this and was pretty excited just for that. But apparently it's only inspired by that, not a direct sequel. Although none of the D games were direct sequels. It's also not really a survival horror game like the original D's were. D4 is completely unrelated to the D series though. This and quantum break are my most watched X1 games, and if I'm to break down and buy an X1 it would be for those two games.
This looks really nice regardless, always had a soft spot for cel-shaded graphics. Glad this is not fully must use kinect as well (controller option available), for the folks like me that doesn't have a big living room.
Dat Diversity. MSFT is bringing the games. I'm really liking the story and wackiness of this game.
This game has my attention. This is the direction they should go with Kinect more story based games.
The same people who bashed heavy rain will love this game!!
Heavy Rain was great, besides calling out my sons name in the shopping mall. Was so damn irritating hahaha! "Jason!, Jaaassssooon! Jason!" lol http://www.youtube.com/watc... Anyhow, I'll be playing D4 on day one, just like I played Heavy Rain day one.
Fanboys always win. It's stupid fighting them ^^ . Looks good. Hope Xbox fans start to like this type of games. It would end many fights lol :)
The exclusives for the Xbox one are freaking amazing.
so why xbox fanboys interested in this game again? remind me of heavy rain
This game actually looks super interesting. These are the exact type of games that really make you enjoy the console. Will be getting this day one whenever it comes, seems super weird and i love it!
Looks alright, can't wait for the reviews!
I'm ready for some more games... The wait... Is.. Awful
I am very interested.
woah, I had completely forgotten about this game. This makes my xbone purchase even more justified
One thing:just hope they nail the kinect controls...
ppl are pretending this looks/plays good???? its a qte game
Bump Kinect Im going VIRTUAL who's with me lol Project Morphesus its Morphin Time white tiger lmfao..just playin cant wait fo VR this game looks ok must wait fo E3 ugh
Is this game going to be as bad and strangely addicting as Deadly Premonition?
Does it run at 480p?
You can see the more detail in the XB1 one judging by the screenshots, looks interesting..DP was a quirky but good game.
