Merchandising MMOs

While it is true that many online games generated the vast amount of their profits from subscriptions, that practice has changed considerably in the last few years with the rise of free-to-play games. There is, though, a source of revenue that many gamers don't think of when it comes to mmos: merchandise. (Industry)
