The Road Ahead: Introducing the Community Test Environment

The Community Test Environment (CTE) will provide passionate fans the chance to evolve Battlefield 4 with us and become a part of the development process. We’ll be able to test new ideas and solutions to current issues before we roll them out to all Battlefield players.

Among the first things we will work on is the “Netcode,” which is what the player experiences with the game world including player-to-player interactions like damage registration. This involves tweaking to the “tickrate” servers and networking in general.

By launching this new program, not only will we be able to address player feedback at an early stage, but also increase the overall quality of the game. We are excited to explore the possibilities together with you. (Battlefield 4, PC)

BF4 is still very much relevant. The Premium DLC is still coming and from what I can tell the game is quite active

So, they want people to pay for the ability to beta test for them twice? I thought all of us were already beta testers but I guess now we have to pay more for the privilege of playing the latest game-breaking BS.

Very late DICE. The damage has been done to the Battlefield brand. EA trying to push the game out before COD might cost them for a long time.

I don't understand what the deal is with the supposed fix they reported on about a month ago. the "new server fix"... i played the game about a month ago and it was perfect for about a week. Went back this past week and it was worse than ever, so jerky with rubberbanding I was actually feeling dizzy.
so........ the game is still completely broken when all they have to do is release custom servers with 48 player conquest (as it's obvious they weren't ready for 64)....but nope... we will all just pretend everything is okay... and buy premium too! /S ... I literally think they are either laughing at us all or are completely incompetent. It's one or the other at this point. No premium for me, bf5 will be bought used.

Totally agree.DICE must be feeling like a right bunch of twats right now,but keep on pushing shit out for a unfinished product.Must really think there top class devs.They need to crawl back under their bridge.Bunch of trolls.
