How Publishers are Giving Gamers the Shaft… Exclusively

The practice of console exclusive DLC content seems to be becoming more and more prevalent. Why is it that publishers are willing to leave some consumers out in the cold when it comes to their extra goods? Why are they giving you the shaft? (Activision, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Bungie, Destiny, Industry, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ubisoft, Watch Dogs)

Old news... they been giving people the shaft since 2005, when it became normal for them to give exclusive dlc to some and not to other, like preorder bonuses, I mean what if I didn't have the money to buy the game before it release and bought it 2 weeks after? Some people need to eat.

We are calling it the shaft because we are not on the other side of the table

I don't even want to hear people complaining about not getting version exclusive DLC, until those same people have lived with a system [Wii U] that is so thoroughly shafted by AAA third parties[not so much indies, ironically] that many of the multiplatform ports either come out late, or get stripped of basic DLC content that's available everywhere else BUT on the system.

Not getting a bit of version-exclusive content is a far thinner and shorter shaft to have stuffed up your butt, in comparison.
