The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the Game Review | Entertainment Buddha

Entertainment Buddha's Matt Heywood writes, "Beenox’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to its first open-world Spider-Man game that was loosely based on the Marc Webb directed film of the same name. In the sequel, Beenox took a curious direction with the game’s narrative and had it loosely based on the film, but in an alternate universe kind of way. Rather than providing a unique Spider-Man tale altogether, Beenox decided to weave in a ton of Marvel characters to help flesh out the game world, but by doing so the game’s core story suffers from a weak plot and a generic tour de force of Spider-Man villains and overused one-liners.

Rather than providing our usual written review I opted to test out the PS4′s new SHAREfactory app to create a custom video review for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which you can view above. Overall, SHAREfactory offers up some great and easy to use video editing tools, and outside of the lack of some fine tuning controls, it’s a competent video editing app that integrates perfectly with the PS4′s built-in game recorder."

I'm really glad I rented this game. I really wanted to like it. But I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I have been spoiled by the arkham series, but the controls are just so clunky it's hard to get into it. And the news reports get really annoying after doing any little side mission really fast.

At least the swinging is leaps and bounds better then any of his last games. But the precision still isn't there.

Oh well, arkham knight in October!

Yeah it suffers from all sorts of technical issues and the story is pretty lame, but somehow it ends up being sorta fun.
