Drink at your own risk. Love at your own risk." Enjoying the humorous nature of what's been revealed of this game so far :-)
I've been a huge Insomniac fan since the original Ratchet and Clank (I believe I was eight years old when it came out). Loved most of their games. I'm really excited for this one, it's just a shame it's not coming to the PS4. Xbox One owners are lucky to finally get some Insomniac love!!
So drinking it may cause pregnancy? That's worse than death! /S
Especially for males aged 18 to 24!!!
Sunset Overdrive will be a bigger Flop than fuse. The concept Looks just horrible. Drinking soda and shooting deformed monsters space aliens with a comedic twisted does not peaked my interest. I could be wrong and this game could be awesome but I doubt it . Sony got a partner in bungie ms got a exclusive from Insomniac . I think Sony got the best of that out deal.
Destiny is a multiplatform game. Sunset Overdrive is an exclusive... Neither of the games have proven anything yet, but it's hard to say Sony got more out if this situation. Both games will be on Microsoft platforms.
hahaha you've been going around copy and pasting this same thing all over the place. ill give the same reply i gave to you on ign i don't think its the game that you don't like, rather the fact that its coming out on xbox. i saw your comment history on ign and the last 7 or so comments all had "XBOT" in it, and they were all about ps4 destroying xbox or whatever. get a life, stop stealth trolling
I am becoming more and more interested in this game. But maybe I shouldn't be because "Evilsnuggle" says it's probably going to be a flop.
@daniel2115: No reason it can't be both. The preview trailer from last year's E3 wasn't heavy on details, but it did convey the impression of a certain kind of gameplay. It wasn't enough to be sure, but it didn't seem like something that I personally would be interested in. Maybe this year we'll see some actual gameplay to say for sure.
@Evilsnuggle, you've never played any of Insomniac's games, have you? They specialize in over-the-top, ridiculous, silly action games.
I'm super excited about this game
Gameplay reveal is allegedly this Thursday. I want to see what the hell this game is exactly. I really liked Resistance (1 and 3 :)) This just looks batshit ridiculous in a good way.
Ive watched that first trailer so many times and still cant make any sense of it. I have no idea what this game is actually gonna be, and I don't know if that's good or bad lol! Need to see more!
Same here tbh. Not a fan of the over-bearing orange colour or the cartoony vibe in this. It might be good though if it has some unique gameplay additions. Right now, I'm interested but not that much to be honest simply because, like you, I haven't got a clue about what this game is actually about.
Right now it reminds me of when I first saw PAIN on PS3, which was aweful. Just the style though, the gameplay is probably nothing like that.
We need more fun games glad to see insomniac working on it. Definitely excited to see this game in action.
I completely agree.
gameplay is tomorrow so let see if the game is fun or dull. but I hope insomniac don't make the game like fuse
I've never been a fan of insomniac games. Ive bought resistance and played it but thought it was trash imo. But I will check this game out to see if I will buy it
Did you play resistance 3? That one was awesome
I tried to play r2 but just stopped and never went back to it.
r2 was trash 1 and 3 was alright
I've only played a few stagges and never went back to playing it. Never tried r3
I liked all of them. R2 was my fist, and I liked it more than R1. R3 is the best though
Resistance 1 was one of the best First Person shooters I played last generation.
It will be interesting to see. The game is really bright.
Forget the characters. What about the guns?
If their aim is sales, it's a huge risk to only release it on Xbox One. History suggests that it'll be lucky to sell 2 million if that. My comparison here is the fine game Jet Set Radio Future which was an Xbox exclusive. However I can understand that Microsoft might well have been more receptive to the game than Sony was. Sony generally support heavily 'serious' story based games more than out and out fun. Sony's loss really as I think that this game will be fun and as a system seller it may well appeal to a relative niche of gamers like me.
What? Sony supported Insomniac for years. Ratchet & Clank is serious? LittleBigPlanet is serious? Are you kidding me? Microsoft is publishing, too.
Yes the first of the exceptions you bring up did cross my mind. But I'm not a fan of R & C so to me it kind of takes itself more seriously than I actually find it fun which makes a weird kind of sense to me. As for Little Big Planet, Sony perhaps support that because of the innovation angle. With Microsoft, innovation is not necessarily as important as straight forward fun. And yes LBP can be straight forward if you don't actually make levels yourself .... But Microsoft games sometimes tend to more of an 'arcade' quality to them. You can imagine Ryse, Forza or Titanfall in an arcade for instance. It's instant eye candy fun. Sunset Overdrive fits in with that.
I think insomniac took the deal cause of the DRM which would of netted them huge profits. DRM was Microsofts way of sweetening the deal for developers with the chance of having games for the first time produce residual income for studios. Microsoft has probably granted them a grievance package which includes a lot of money for when the policies changed. Hopefully Microsoft brings it back but an option to opt in for it. The perks would be worth it if once opting in all new releases are $44.99 the lower price would compensate not being able to trade in at stores. Them eventually you should be able to do one time trades with other Xbox live members and gifting, imma talk to Phil. I love physical copy's of games but with the instant switching feature on Xbox one it just makes sense to have everything digital.
I have Ryse, TitanFall, and PvZ on disc and I hate swapping out the disc. My son got his Xbox One yesterday and he got all of those digital...makes me jelly how much quicker he can switch games than I can. This is what the XB1 was built for and I can honestly say I will no longer buy disc ( unless the deal/sale is too good true...PvZ new for $27 on Amazon). OT Sunset Overdrive is just what the doctor ordered. I love the art style and c nt wait to see the insane gameplay.
@Hacksawjimthugin. I have been using digital downloads since day one on my XB1, I can't imagine going back to disc now. Just an FYI, this is the most underrated XB1 feature. You currently can share digital copies of games on XB1, its only between 2 people now. My roommate and I buy 1 copy, and share it, annnnnnd, you can play the games @ the same time. We do this daily, no BS. Go on your sons XB, go settings, scroll down to where it says home console. Make sure you signed in with your game tag . make his XB "your' home console and make your console his home console. You can now share all of your digital games, 1 copy , 2 people playing. The reason this works is because anybody has access to "your" home console games. Best feature on the box imo
