God of War: 3 Reasons Why Chains of Olympus is the Best

I remember playing Chains of Olympus when I got my Red GOW PSP that came with Superbad. Awesome time with both the game and the movie(first time I saw Superbad was on my PSP).

the PSP GOW games are my favorite after the first one, they are what made me hyped for the Order by RAD, I thought they should take over the GOW franchise.

Surprisingly, two big franchises have some of their best games on PSP, God Of War with Chains Of Olympus and Metal Gear with Peace Walker. Sometimes while playing Peace Walker, I completely forgot I was playing on a portable, it felt so big in such small device, it was awesome!

I still think GOW3 and MGS3 are the best.

agreed, all around in terms of puzzles, art direction, environments, boss fights, and so on always felt 2 was the best. But I always felt Chains of Olympus was better than the first and I recently played Ghost of Sparta, its absolutely outstanding that kind of graphical fidelity and action could be squeezed onto the psp

Loved it, but God of War III is, by far, my favorite in the series. I've never played a game or seen a movie quite as epic. It was brilliant.

I have to disagree it's not even the best god of war on the psp. Ghost of sparta is my favorite as far as story goes and gameplay was a mix between the ps2/ps3 games. Tbh i hope they port the origins collection because i really didn't like the psp games controls. Plus a better framerate would be awesome as well.

ghost of sparta and chains of olympus have already been ported to the PS3, unless you meant for the Vita.

You can have PS3 controls on PS Vita. The button mapping on the PS Vita. You can make them whatever you want.

You can only set the left analog to emulate the dpad, shoulder buttons (with left on the analog being l and right being r with no way to use them both), right stick, start, select, the four face buttons, but not a combination of them. The god of war requires a combination of l+R+moving the analog stick so it doesn't work with god of war.

The PSP games are amazing games for considering its on a handheld, but God of War 3 is the pinnacle of the series, in story, gameplay, and scale. That Poseidon fight alone is still amazing after multiple playthroughs.

I like all of GOW Games just i didnt like the last one GOW: Ascension. Kratos wasnt anger enough, such a shame story and multiplayer idea. Especially multiplayer idea, i dont like multiplayer in GOW.

Well since GoW:A is set before all the other games a lot of things haven't happened yet to make Kratos the vegeful character he is in God of War 2 and 3.

The multiplayer was ok imo. The only problem I had with the multiplayer was that its inclusion lead to a less polished and even buggy single player which was unheard of in the franchises history.

Other than that I really liked the new battle system and the puzzles were the best of the franchise imo. The final boss was a little disappointing though. I feel like without the multiplayer all those flaws wouldn't have existed in the single player.

For me the best games are God of War 3 and 2 but I like all God of War games.

I couldn't get into Ascension like the rest of the GOW games, mainly because I found the controls so different from the previous games.

The fact that people are discussing if GOW 1 , 2 or the PSP games are the best in the series, shows how good the GOW series is

Personally, I thought GOW 2 was the best, just in terms of gameplay. I thought GOW 1 or CoO had the best story with GOW 1 mostly because of the introduction of kratos

Even the worst GoW is very good, for a PSP game it's damn brilliant.

Ghost of Sparta is way better than Chains of Olympus. GOW III is still the best.
