Will Survival Horror Die in 2014?

The next six months could make or break survival horror. Once huge, it’s a genre that's been neglected and abused in recent years, considered undesirable by publishers clamouring after the “Call of Duty generation”. Gamers want to feel badass not vulnerable, goes the logic. It's a belief that's left survival horror on life support. (Culture)

Hope not 1 of my personal fav genres dev's just need to stick to survival horror and not turn games into action shooters to tie in with the movies(mentioning no names we all know who im talking about)be a sad day for me if it did happen.
