Just like all ballots, I plan to write in a vote for myself.

Here's who you should vote for:

Who you want to.

Well, of course! But it's just my reasoning for fun, with a healthy bit of subjectivity.

Has Sidney Crosby (the player the other players voted the best in the league by a huge margin and will most likely win MVP this year with a massive point lead on any other player) ever been on the cover? Hell Malkin definitely hasn't. 2 of the top 3 players currently haven't then.

Some of the choices are strange, and they don't often go for the really star players. Kane, Toews, Stamkos have been on it recently, though.

exactly 2 Blackhawks and Giroux (that one pissed me off). Just seems overdue for Malkin or Crosby to be on. Malkin should have been 2010 (won Hart trophy and had the highest point total in the playoffs in YEARS). Hell what about Quick (they put Brodeur because they think he'll retire a man guesses).

Pens fan huh? Malkin has been slept on, his cover next year if he gets wild. Sid is a call as he really just beginning to reach his prime (if you can believe that). My vote is for Subban though, he's really had a breakout season and has been improving greatly every year and this season he's been everywhere the Canadiens need him this season on both sides of the puck. New puck physics in game hopefully will benefit Subban and similiar players that chese pucks down in the corners and get tough in front for rebounds so it seems like a good fit. Either side of the puck, he's a beast. 'Nuff said.

I'd go with Subban as well. He's been awesome against Boston. That breakaway goal last night was sick. Completely fooled Rask.
