Analogue Interactive The nostalgia of a classic Nintendo Entertainment system is like nothing else.
"We've reached out to Nintendo about whether they will try to block the sale of the Nt" more like 'we've narked out to Nintendo so they can block the sale of the Nt'
Hmmm $500 or a free emulator on PC that does the exact same thing. Your pick. So absurd they would price something like this so high. Do these people not have the internet and know what is already out there?
It's not emulation, it's pure hardware, basically an actual 1 to 1 NES only with modern formatted output. The differences may not be big but there are lots of small differences this system makes that on the whole makes for a much better experience. Sure to the masses this seams silly and overpriced but this is not for the masses, it's for the collector enthusiasts and purists of retro gaming. And PC Emulation is not a 1 to 1 representation of playing it on its native hardware
no. not everyone in the world is looking for the "best deal" or whats free. some people like to buy niche things or are enthusiasts of sorts. i think this qualifies as one of those things. you aren't paying for what it does, you're paying for what it is. would i buy it? probably not, but I'm sure there are a few people out there that would. I probably know some.
Questionably legal? No. Nintendo let its patents on the original NES expire without renewal many years ago. That's why the aftermarket consoles became a mainstream item and not just sold at flea markets.
That's nice and all but no way would I'd spend $500 and they also want another $50 for an HDMI adapter. Everything they listed in their store is way overprice, $20 for an HMDI cable?
well you don't HAVE to get the HDMI cable or adapter from them, besides the thing has RGB output witch pretty much every HDTV out there has and is pretty much identical to HDMI
Will it have options like scanlines and a smooth filter? It better have scanlines at least.
yup, there's a video on IGN about it's features, scanlines was one of them
cool, but just too damn expensive. there are far cheaper options out there. you can get something like the RetroN 4 that also supports the Megadrive/Genesis and snes games too.
