Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare A Return To Form?

(Zach Garvey writes) On the 1st of May, it was announced that the official reveal for the new Call Of Duty game will be on the 4th of May in the form of a trailer. On the 2nd of May, the trailer was leaked and the official reveal was then brought forward two days to accommodate for the leak, and we found out that Kevin Spacey is in the next COD game. Kevin Spacey!

The trailer for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare is one of the best COD trailers that has been released in years. It showed off some of the story, showed off little bits of gameplay (which looks bloody gorgeous) and also some new gadgets featured in the game. As someone who has been let down by most of the recent COD games, I didn’t expect to be grabbed by the trailer as much as I did and now I am reservedly looking to Advanced Warfare as the return to form that the franchise so desperately needs.

No. Call of Duty will probably never go back to form. The guys from Respawn were the only good Call of Duty developers and now that they are gone the series will probably eventually die, now that it seems that people are finally seeing that the game is probably not going to get better, but continue to get worse. Which is sad because I used to love the series

Treyarch has gotten better as time has gone on, I'd interest to see what SH doesn.

Sledgehammer Games are made up of Dead Space developers. /thread

Yup. I'm giving this game the benefit of the doubt.

i said it when i watched the trailer, this reminds me a lot about original COD:MW

i think this series will be held back as long as they gonna make current gen versions too, the only way COD will advance when its only available on next gen consoles/pc

N4G response Prediction: COD will return to form if the PS4 is indeed the lead platform.

If the XB1 is the lead platform, then COD is nothing more than Titanfall without Mech and will slowly die!

you sound like a real fanboy. doubt you own a PS4 as your avatar suggests.

You missed the "/S" for sarcasm at the end, Pal.

Hey, nice avatar...:D

I've been playing Ghosts a lot lately and I wouldn't be normally, but my friend got it and we've been having fun with the Gun Game and Infected so why not? Even after all these years, CoD is still fun. It has the right formula and no other game has matched it.

Face it... Call of Duty is the POP MUSIC of video games. Most of the people who hate on it are just hating because it's the cool thing to do.

FYI, there is also a new Assassin's Creed every year and I don't see many complaints about that game. It's basically re-skinned every year just like CoD.

Lol what a terrible analogy: "Call of Duty is the POP MUSIC of video games. Most of the people are just hating because it's the cool thing to do." Trust me I hate pop music because it is all repetitive BS, with no musical talent whatsoever. Liking pop music is the 'cool' thing to do, almost every asshole you run into likes it.

Well, someone is doing something right because the games always sell like hot cakes.

They have a proven formula that works. That's why the game is so popular.

Trust me... my friend and I have been trying to get into playing Battlefield 4 and it just doesn't feel right. It's not fun no matter how hard we try to have fun.

CoD is where the fun is, however, if it wasn't for having friends that play it also, I probably wouldn't be playing it at all.

Call it Doodie has never it's form. Still the same tired rehash like the last 4 CODs. This isn't the second coming of Christ.
