"The game's Director navigation system lets players choose between modes."
Sweet this looks exciting to boot I can't wait for this game to come out @People: Don't worry Sasuke Uchiha is back and stronger ever you hmmm honestly don't be an hater.N4G.Because let me show you this emo kid can put lot more emotion than you guys think :|
Guys stop he's stronger than ever, can't you read?
do you even lift?
This sounds brilliant, something different to TDM and CTF.
I wonder if they're still trying to avoid calling this an MMO.
they probably are because it isn't one. It's not massively multiplayer. The worlds are connected. "Shared-world". You are not running around with 40 players at once. The most you will probably see is 12 and that's only in certain areas. It is what they called it.
jayswolo There are other things that make a game an MMO besides the number of players. This is like saying a game is/isn't a RPG because you do/don't role play. It's a bit of a misnomer.
This game may not set the bar for shooters, but it looks like it will really break the mold. I'm extremely excited for this. Can't wait to try the beta.
'Shooters' is a very broad category.
where is the video?? the game sounds similar to that of brink in regards to the modes.
Sounds so amazing!
I hope Patrol mode has players on the same server in a non PVP state
for everybody who complained at the strike gameplay video that was just recently released im glad this video shows that there is other game modes and explains them. people started attacking destiny saying how generic and boring it look when the strike gameplay came out only to not realize that it was just a piece of the full content shown. remember we still don't know much of patrol, campaign or even pvp. there is much much more to learn about destiny, keep these videos coming!
the strike gameplay was on a modified version where the players were essentially on God mode until they had to show how dieing looked like. It was just something they through together to show how strikes looked like.
Exactly!!! It was one game mode of many...in one area of many...on one planet of many. We have only really scratched the surface of what this game holds in terms of content. It seems absolutely HUGE! I remain cautious, but extremely optimistic that this game will be great.
True. Strike looks a lot like Warframe and it can be repetitive, but then there will be the other modes. Good to hear/read.
All this time I thought this was a Unreal Tournament style game. But in reality it's an MMO'ish game?? This has my full attention. I love MMOs but ended up taking a huge chunk of my life away. I think I could had been someone special in life if it wasn't for them. LoL Seriously, a grab and go'ish MMO'ish game sounds very interesting indeed.
I think the fact that there's game types confirms that this is in no way shape or form an "MMO." It's like...next level Borderlands
Needs splitscreen mode
im more of a single player. so patrol mode will be the one for me:)
I can't wait to try out the beta for Destiny sometime this summer, I feel like it will be a must-have title but I need to play the beta and see if I will be making a wise choice with my $60 if I decide to pick this game.
My Destiny is to buy Destiny. That's ridiculous, probably someone already used that sentence.
My destiny is to buy a PS4 with and when Destiny is released.???
Thats all the way in September! You can spend your time waiting...or spend your time playing Watch Dogs and Infamous!
to the person who wonders why they avoid calling it an MMO. they have repeated this numerous times. NO FUCKING MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION. !!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE HEAR THAT. THANK GOD IT IS FREE AFTER YOU GET THE GAME ITSELF.
There are plenty of MMOs that are not monthly subscriptions, some even being free. That isn't their reason for why they are not calling it an MMO.
This game looks sick, but will not buy it till a month after release just to make sure that there will not be server problems. Will be doing this with the next Battlefield game as-well. With the Sim city and Battlefield 4 problems after launch many people will be cautious with servers going down.
Very exciting bros :)
