Daylight (PS4) Review: Strives to be Outlast, But Ends Up an Outcast I Short Pause

What is it with all these haunted insane asylums lately? We're only six months into the new generation of consoles, and I’ve already made my way through THREE haunted insane asylums. Discontented with simply maintaining the underrated Blacklight: Retribution, Zombie Studios has tried their hand at asylum horror with the procedurally generated, first-person survival-horror game, Daylight. Is there room for one more haunted house on the block? (Daylight, PS4) 2.5/5

I must admit, it is pretty bad.

It really could've been so good, but unfortunately it fails it reach the same level of Outlast in just about every way.

Funny title.

-_- its just comparing it to Outlast, thats just sad. It's a pretty good game and should get a better score then that, but it doesn't matter.

I don't use reviews to choose my games, I buy what I want.

The game BEGS to be Outlast, dude. It's not worth your money.

That is like saying Outlast begs to be like every other game like it and I brought Daylight an enjoy it.

Its bad. End of story. Can be done in an hr. Its a series of collecting items to progress. Slender Formula. Just not scary.

on that note…can't wait for Outlast: Whistleblower!

Agreed.

People compare it to Outlast because they see a piece of technology in the hand. That's it. It wasn't trying to be Outlast. It's not a good game. I gave it a 3 out of 10 for Duuro because of this. Just don't claim it was trying to be Outlast, because it wasn't. They are entirely different games, in terms of design.
