It's known by now that Quantic Dream is working on a new PS4 game, and today the developer posted a new career opportunity ad seeking a Senior 3D animator. The interesting part is that it mentions working on the animation of monsters.
I want it to be Sorcerer and filled with Monsters!! LOL Whatever it turns out to be, you just know It's gonna be awesome. It's Quantic Dream, they know how to make PS systems sing! Edit @robtion Kara would be even more awesome, but I fear it may forever be a wonderful demo ;/
I wanted them to do Kara.
Will this new game actually have gameplay this time?
i want to do Kara.
Kara seemed far more interesting than any of their other games. I would have loved to see that turned into a full game.
I hope their next game doesn't have quick time events anymore... getting tired of semi-controlling my character... Give me full control as this sorcerer so I can destroy those monsters anyway I prefer :-) I hope they use horror elements too.
If it's not Kara I'm going to be extremely disappointed. That one short preview had more emotion and character depth than most retail games. Amazing.
I was pretty surprised too. Dark Sorcerer notwithstanding, monsters are really the last thing I'd expect from QD. then I remembered that they did do a game in the long past with monsters: Omikron: The Nomad Soul
Yup on the Dreamcast, starring legend David Bowie! It's cool how David Cage can attract these high calibre people to star in his games :) Edit @Kurisu I played Beyond last night on my PS3. It looks so good it wouldn't look out of place on PS4! Awesome visuals on PS3.
There are monsters in Beyond two souls. Dont want to spoil it for anyone. So thats all ill say about that. And I have to say Quantic Dream should do some type of horror story because there are some intense moments in Beyond that are pure creepy.
Indigo Prophecy had a lot of monsters, angels, etc.
Can't wait to see what QD bring to PS4. Beyond: Two Souls looked amazing on PS3, so can only imagine what this will look like. I hope the story is more constructive than Beyonds though, it was a bit lacking in that compartment compared to Heavy Rain.
Beyond two souls was just mind bogglingly amazing to look at at times. The underwater scenes and in the snow really stood out to me. Their ps4 game should be something pretty special ;)
Ive just recently got Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls, cant wait to play. Even my friend who is devoted xbox fanboy, loves both games.
I do hope Yoshida clearly told David Cage what were the problems with Beyond: Two Souls
You mean the fact that it's not a game! Lol im sorry but i'd like to PLAY my games not watch and press a button from time to time.
Blow it out your ass.
You clearly haven't played Heavy Rain or Beyond 2 Souls.
Why is there always one dude who has to make a trolling comment like this? We can't just go one article without a troll in the comment section. You may not like QD's style of game, but that's exactly what they are, games. Deal with it.
Beyond 2 souls is every bit a game as is some of these small indie games on iOS. so stop trolling! I will admit though that while Beyond is a visual stunner, Its narrative is falls all over the place and is quite inconsistent... I particularly didn't enjoy the fact that the choices didn't effect the out come, even though their were multiple choices presented throughout the narrative... This was much better realized in Heavy Rain. I'll agree the gameplay mechanics were better in this but story wasn't as powerful in Beyond... and I'm a cage fan... Heavy Rain is by far his best work from a narrative stand point. Beyond 2 Souls is his most graphically astounding retail game. I'm looking forward to this PS4 game especially with the fact that He's admitted that the writing of Beyond suffered due to him being the sole writer and editor. This next game has 4 writers, 1 of which has written an award winning Novel, Cage himself and 2 holywood writers who has written some great fiction and screenplay. They haven't disclosed who they are but This was the mentioned in an interview for Beyond:Two Souls during it's launch week by Quantic's Second founder.
Ok, my bad. I'd like to apologize, I don't like QD's games and I guess since this is an article about QD's upcoming title I shouldn't have commented negatively to spite others. My bad fellow gamers, game on! No sarcasm intended
Beyond suffered from being too easy, an area that Heavy Rain more than excelled at. Good game otherwise.
Lions comment wasn't trolling. Heavy Rain was flawed but triumphed in its plot and visuals. A triumph overall. 2 Souls was visually wonderful but everything else was deeply flawed. Although the voice acting was excellent. Quantic Dream can't have another undercooked game.
His games are as much a game as one of those interactive youtube video https://www.youtube.com/wat...
David Cage and Quantic Dream definitely enjoy the supernatural element. Except Heavy Rain, that was pretty grounded.
Madison's booty was supernatural.
[spoiler don't read]Actually the Ethan's black outs were supernatural stuff(his mind was linked with origami's) but QD cut this explanation out of the final build.
@Kurisu JASON! JASOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNN!!!
Oh, I can't wait to see what they do with the PS4. :)
I hope we get to see Kara fight these monsters :)
I just hope it's a more traditional game, instead of a third game with Heavy Rain's and Beyond's gameplay mechanics.
Don't care, they don't make games, they make movies.
Movies are a couple of hours long and feature zero interaction. You have clearly never played a QD game. Must suck to be so narrow minded.
