'Defiance' going free-to-play as second season of TV show starts

XMNR: Trion Worlds announced Thursday that its MMO shooter, “Defiance” for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, will be the latest subscription-based game to make the jump to free-to-play. The crossover events with the SyFy Channel television series will continue though as the series heads into its second season. (Defiance, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

defiance was never a subscription based mmo it was a lot like guild wars 2,the reason why defiance doesn't have a date on 360 is because unlike the ps3 there is no digital ver of the game on 360.

and here i though you "journalist" do research.

The subscription-based line was a simple mistake that's already been corrected and noted in the article. Couldn't update it here though as the sub was already approved by the time it was caught.

I actually have this game for xbox and ps3...i enjoyed it that much that I got it for both systems...i'll probably get this for PC now that it'll be free...this should hopefully bring in some traffic to the game
