Flappy Bird, 2048, Attack Of The Clones Anyone?

An opinion piece via EGMR in which the author makes mention of Flappy Bird and 2048, two popular clones of other games, and asks whether or not we should worry about this practice in future.

Quote: "But the gaming world doesn’t operate on anything even remotely resembling regular convention and so we have the likes of 2048 and Flappy Bird, effectively clones of other — arguably better — experiences that somehow, through some weird law of gaming or something, went and did a lot better than the games upon which they were based; the original ideas, so to speak."
