10 Years Later - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Pixel Critique's month-long look back at the 30 games that defined 2004, is in the home stretch, and really wants to emphasize that San Andreas was a fairly sizable game. (Culture, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, PS2, Retro)

Remember playing this so much. I didn't have a lot of games when this launch so its all I played.

It was a ton of games in one...crazy taxi, need for speed, stunt driver, road rash, cops and robbers, swimming, flight simulator, chop lifter, gang wars, etc...

It was great.

Some games still can't come close to this classic. Truly one of the best games ever made

Is it just me, or was 2004 one of the best years in terms of gaming?
BillytheBarbarian  +   581d ago
It was for me...Nfl 2k5, Halo 2, Fable, KOTOR 2, etc... NFL 2k5 owned my life for many years afterwards too.

Still the best GTA game to date.

I'd argue Vice City however San Andreas did set the standard in my book for GTA games. I still own the original hot coffee version.
