5 Reasons Titanfall’s Popularity Won’t Last

Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall is sweeping both headlines and Xbox Live right now. It may the “it” game right now, but much like the Spice Girls, Justin Bieber, and Furbies, its shelf-life looks to be much shorter than its peers. (TitanFall, Xbox One)

Titanfall is a great game, the best online experience in a game you can have atm. I just dont think it is going to have the fan base of the heavy shooters out there. I really think MS only secured the exclusivity to the first Titanfall for that reason exactly. Get the best shooter out atm and make it an exclusive to your name. I just dont see it having the long term success as others. Once Halo, and gears come out i really dont see Titanfall being as huge as this time around. It all comes down to competition and atm Titanfall is the best FPS out, when Halo and gears come out it will be a different story.

To say though that Titanfall in anyway isnt a great game is just stupid, the game one award after award, the game is a complete blast to play. I highly highly recommend it to anyone, ive been addicted to it since release.

TF will be fine DLC coming and gameplay doesnt get enough credit for its freedom and level of competitiveness. A lot of people don't undertstand how little a lot of Tf players that I have spoken to care about a story mode. Different game modes and overall game elements work so well together for a great experience. Not talking from a fanboy perspective but as someone who has played shooters my whole life

Its like this guys wish that tf was never done...come on come on come on come on come on...jump in that titan fucker...

LOL. Titanfall has already lasted.

Most games come out and disappear from the charts in 3 weeks. Titanfall has stayed top 5 all along.

Once Destiny comes out we will see a shift, but Titanfall will rule the summer for online shooter sales (With or without a single player campaign).

I personally love this shooter. I do believe that Titan fall will be a long running series just (like halo/call of duty/battlefield, etc) Those games are tremendous hits with their own pros/cons. Listing things like $500 for console, $60 for game, But not noting updated ongoing sale promos, when there are huge deals going on titan fall bundles as low as $400???... Smart pistol has been nerfed (most are not even using it when I am out there playing). Unique choice of cons listed in this article though.... Talk about ether...

Popularity by its definition is finite. Nothing lasts forever.

It will continue to be a popular game until another FPS comes to unseat it. Destiny may do that, and if Titan fall remains popular for that long, I'd say that's a great accomplishment for a new IP.

It looks like Respawn plans to release a bunch of new content and game modes to keep the game fresh... Which is also welcome news.

The article is a bunch of BS. Microsoft azure servers are hardly a 'crap shoot'... Titanfall is easily the most reliable shooter I've played in a while... And the complaints about balance clearly come from someone who hasn't played it... Hardly anyone even uses the smart pistol... The "barrier of entry" isn't any higher than any other mp game.

"Balance is Thrown out the Window

It might be hard to balance a game when there are giant Titans against human opponents, but Titanfall should have some semblance of balance. However, weapons like the auto-locking Smart Pistol Mk5 make battles too one-sided. Balance updates might very will fix this, but it really limits its eSports potential as it stands now."

Clearly he hasn't played the game.

5 Reasons it will:

1)Great developer support
2)Addictive gameplay
3)Maps that are well made and don't get old
4)Titan and Pilot gameplay feels so different
5)New Maps coming

The reason I know titanfall will last....is because I keep seeing articles like THIS!!!

So much hate. I have never in my gaming life see a game get so much hate against it.
