The Crew Preview (PAX East) - GameRevolution

GR - Today, I had the opportunity to play a little of The Crew, Ubisoft’s upcoming racing game for next-gen consoles and PC. As someone who isn't really that into racing games, I must admit I was impressed. The game uses the continental United States as its open-world and though I didn’t get to experience how vast that space really is, you can supposedly drive from coast to coast when driving freely. (PC, PS4, The Crew, Xbox One)

I'm the opposite. I am and I wasn't. :(

You get the entire land of America at you tv screen. You can free roam from one state to another...This is incredible.

Not exactly :) Granted its big but its not

East to West = 2880 miles (CA-ME)
North to South = 1860 miles (FL- MN)

Won't happen any time soon. Think how GTA likes to mash up a representation of a city only across states then your on the right track.

Would be amazing to have a racer the full size taken on every town city etc. But its an arcade style racer this and the attention span off players would dim I'm guessing.

I never meant that literally. But being able to drive from Miami to Detroit to Washington in a videogame is something to marvel at.
