If you own a PS4, then the simple answer is yes.
Mikelarry  +   454d ago
More like HELL YEEAahhh!!!, but seriously yes my first dabble in the infamous franchise and i had a blast playing this game
Neonridr  +   454d ago
Me too. I never had a PS3, so I never got to experience the first two. Maybe down the road on PS Now perhaps.

I didn't want to go overboard with my reaction, lol. Shooting rainbows and prancing unicorns dancing around to my "H to the Izzo! You a damn foo unless you play this game!!"

To be honest this should be at the top of the list for any PS4 owner. Probably the best game in the library to date.

Is Air worth breathing?
Hicken  +   454d ago
Dude, air is so overrated. 4/10, personally.
HammerKong  +   454d ago
those who dont own ps4 also must play this game,i know this not the best infamous but an very fun and worth playing game, story is weak but gameplay is best in the series so far and are best graphics in a game so far, weak story can hurt people like me,but i payed this game for its gameplay alone.

Idk, I got it off gamefly and it's good don't get me wrong. But if you played one or 2 it's the same thing over and over. It's extremely polished, but I wouldn't drop 60 on it. Just my opinion. For gamefly though it was fun.

I have a PS4 but haven't purchased this game yet. I have the first two still that I haven't touched.

Should I play the first two or not bother at this point??
Farsendor1  +   454d ago
i wouldnt worry about the first 2 games im new to infamous and i love second son.
Lukas_Japonicus  +   454d ago
You definitely don't need to play the past 2 games, but i would still recommend playing them, the Festival of Blood standalone DLC for Infamous 2, too.

if you would ask me i recomend to play last 2 atleast ,those were master pieces and best infamous so far,new one is a blast in gamplay but game is far from perect because of its story.
Ilovetheps4  +   454d ago
The previous two aren't required to play Second Son as Lukas said. However, I personally believe that the first inFamous was the best. I'm not going to spoil anything for you in case you decide to play them, but there were just certain parts about the first game that made it much more fun and it just had a better storyline and better main character in my opinion. But if you want to bypass those two and play Second Son straight away, you will have no issues doing so.
Negative77  +   454d ago
Thanks for the replies. I've been holding off picking up SS thinking I should play the first two before the new one.

I'll pick it up this weekend probably - but may hit up the first two before I actually dive seriously into SS.

Happy gaming!
windblowsagain  +   454d ago
I would still play the others and they are excellent games in their own right.
WeAreLegion  +   454d ago
Play all three and the Festival of Blood DLC. They're all phenomenal games.
sic_chops  +   454d ago
Its not really a sequel to the other ones as far as the story goes.
ginsunuva  +   454d ago
Play the first two!

Or at least just the second.
No_Limit  +   454d ago
I already beat it twice (once evil and one good guy) but I don't think I will play it again due to the nature of single player only game. I am trading in the game towards my MLB 14 preorder toady as a matter of fact. A great game to play but offer very little value once you beat it.

LOl ,the disagree, I am trading in the game to purchase another PS4 game...don't be so hasty. :-)

Yeah me too, apparently Gamestop will give you close to $40 with the 40% coupon trade-in value. I'll be using that towards Mario Kart.
No_Limit  +   454d ago
Funny you would say that, as I traded in my copy of XB1 Battlefield 4 for Mario Kart myself and got $35 for it. It is a great thing to own all the consoles, isn't it?
fonger08  +   454d ago
That's right, that's how real gamers, game.
dodgemoose  +   454d ago
I don't really understand why people are disagreeing with you. It's a great game - which is reflected within reviews - but it doesn't offer any longevity. Once you've completed it from both sides, that's it. That's why I really don't understand why people would buy this game digitally, since you can't sell it on or give it to a friend after you've finished with it (which will happen pretty damn fast).
WeAreLegion  +   454d ago
I platinumed it. First PS4 platinum! It doesn't take a whole lot of time, either. I barely get to play video games. Lol. Such a wonderful game though. I'd recommend it to anyone.
sAVAge_bEaST  +   454d ago
I still think that inFamous Second Son is the best looking game on Any Console. Period. End of Story.

Agreed never seen such beautiful destruction... Blowing up a line of cars with one smoke mission is poetry in motion IMO
KinjoTakemura  +   454d ago
Agreed. The lighting and the physics are like nothing I've ever seen. If anyone has seen something comparable on PS4 or Xbox1, i'd like to know what game that is...
JustInTlME  +   454d ago
Ehhhh…… I love the lighting and reelections but Ground Zeroes still looks better IMO.
Longshot28  +   454d ago
Yes, it is worth playing. Not everything needs to be MP for me and this game was worth the entry fee.
Scrivlar  +   454d ago
It's pretty good but I feel it's waaaaay overrated by most users, personally I could easily live without it and I've stopped playing about a third of the way through to play DS2
candy_mafia  +   454d ago
I:SS is totally worth playing...

Whether you own an Xbox One, Wii U or have yet to upgrade to current gen.

Probably the best looking main character in video games, with the exception of Nathan (Uncharted) Drake :)

I was unimpressed with it.

Graphically its nice, even though it could be nicer.

Open world games aren't usually my cup of tea, though. I have played some that I like, like Red Dead Redemption, Oblivion, the Arkham Games.

But this just didn't do it for me. I may not be the best judge though.
pwnsause_returns  +   454d ago
Is this really a real question to ask?
Sayburr  +   454d ago
Yeah, it is worth playing through. It is not the best game I have played, but I found it enjoyable enough. I really didn't think the graphic were that great, I thought the remake of Tomb Raider looked better. Still, now I know how Peter Petrelli must have felt like, since the entire experience felt like it could have been his storyline from the show.
ginsunuva  +   454d ago
Nope, of course not. Why would anyone want to play this game?
It's not like it looks eye-meltingly good or plays well and is fun.

Goat Simulator: 10/10 graphics and gameplay. Worth playing.
KinjoTakemura  +   454d ago
Seeing videos and commercials is one thing, but seeing the game in action will put a smile on your face. Once you witness the game for yourself, you'll begin to understand what the playstation 4 is capable of. If you're still not sure, watch Infamous streams and ask the streamer. 8 out of 10 will say infamous is a must buy.
Skate-AK  +   454d ago
Of course it is. It's for every good reviews.
