It may seem like a fancy frat house, but it's actually a home base for 5th Planet Games, a videogame company in Rocklin.
Fueled by a passion for multiplayer, social video games, Rob Winkler and three likeminded friends launched 5th Planet Games in 2009 out of their Roseville homes. The company has seen rapid growth since its humble beginnings; developing story-driven, content-rich online social games played more than 100 million times around the world.
Gamesauce: When a person has a passion for gaming and the motivation to do something with that passion, great things happen. Such is the case with 5th Planet Games. The “studio” was, at first, not even a studio. It was just four guys who played games together. Slowly, they warmed to the idea of making their own games – games they would enjoy playing themselves. This idea drives them forward each day.
