Sony Gets It Wrong Again

CCC Says: "I regret my PSN username. When I made it, I didn't see myself getting a PS3. I've always been a single player and local multiplayer kind of girl, so I wasn't really thinking when I decided on a moniker. I had a PSP and wanted to buy some games from the PlayStation Store. So, I went with an old moniker. One that I might have, at one point in time (high school), written fanfiction and made kisekae dolls under. Since it was surprisingly taken, I tacked some numbers onto the end."

I agree stupid they don't have it yet even if you have to pay like on Xbox I wish u didn't have to pay though but I'm sure there would be thousands of people all changing their names every other week so u can see why they would charge for it but still u would think everyone would be given one free name change

Wow... Cry more

Summary of article: It's Sony's fault that the author doesn't like his own user name. Then he cries some more that he can't change his user name.

I'm predicting the future: (author) "so Sony let me change my user name but I didn't take into account the millions of user names already in existence and now it's Sony's fault again that someone else has the user name I wanted"

Maybe next time something like this happens, you put more than 3 seconds worth of thought into it.

1. She

2. She was young when she made the account. We all made stupid decisions then.

3. I'm not trying to be contradictory. Just clarifying and playing devil's advocate.

Being young and making dumb mistakes/ decisions is one thing.

Being an adult, looking back at the decisions you made as a teen, and then blaming someone else for your own stupid mistakes is another.

All this article shows is that SHE isn't as mature as she claims to be.

And Legion, I can tell by the tone of your comment what you're doing. I have 5 bubbles, not 1. I can tell the difference between a discussion and trolling lol

Also, nice Steam name... The only problem with it is it's tearing me apart!! Why Lisa?! WHY?!

Just make a new ID. And keep the old one as a secondary. Carry ur 100 friends to the ps4 where u have 2000 friend cap.

Problem solved.

If it bothers u that much, u have to give up the trophies though.

*I have a feeling though, she gonna complain again after a few years with the same excuse.

To make sure my user name was original my PSN ID is my full name, address, bank card number, sort code, and national insurance number.

What an idiot I feel now for using that as my PSN ID. As I was young I didn't realise what a massive mistake I was making, now I've moved house my PSN ID makes no sense at all.

That’s egg on my face.

She has a point. It seems like something so simple to implement. OR just let us change our displayed name, like on Steam. My name on Steam changes all the time. Right now, I'm Tommy Wiseau. Why can't we do that sort of thing?

rocky047586817d ago

Well, you can if you use Facebook. Whatever your Facebook name is will be what's displayed instead of the PSN ID. Just change your Facebook name to whatever you want your PSN ID to be then make your "real name" available for everyone to see, voila, instant change to your PSN ID.

WeAreLegion817d ago

I don't want everyone knowing my real name though. Just personal friends I add.
