Between the highly acclaimed Fallout 2 and Fallout 3, developer Black Isle had another another game in the works – and it would have kicked ass.
I'm happy Van Buren never happened. New Vegas is my favorite of the Fallout games.
I enjoyed new vegas but I was OBSESSED with 3, me and 2 friends were playing it at around the same time so that's all I ever talked about, thought about, and did during that period, certainly the only game out of the series that I was still playing months after I had finished it.
Fallout 3 was the best IMO.
I preferred Fallout 3, seemed bigger, more epic, Fallout Vegas lacked that Rivet City sized.............. sorry, I can't even think of the words i'm too high Try again, I remember the first time I saw Rivet City, in the distance, then I got up close and it was huge, to walk around it, felt great Vegas seemed flat, the landscape was boring, because I spent so much time with Fallout 3, Vegas felt a bit stale I loved Vegas regardless, I could play those games all day but Fallout 3 was new, I couldn't compare it to any other game at the time, Vegas I can, Fallout 3
for us Fallout 1/2 fans it is the best Fallout game that never was, nothing against the franchise post-bethesda acquisition (I loved FO3 & FNV). Fortunately Wasteland 2 seems to be filling up the void for a classic fallout-esque game quite well.
F2 has no competition.
Tactics had multiplayer. F2 & Tactics had vehicles. But I'd never heard of some of those Van Buren tid-bits. Really interesting. I love the fan-trailer with the Beautiful South soundtrack. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Fallout 1 and 2 would be great games to port to its and android. Truly good games that turn based format lend well to mobile platform. A lot of casuals would be drawn into the mythos.
