Why you should be knee-deep in PS4 indie games right now

PLAYSTATION GAMER Don't lament the lack of triple-As, enjoy the gaming feast in front of you.

It's totally understandable. You've just bought a PS4 - a shimmering onyx slab of bleeding-edge technology; a portal to undiscovered and unimaginable worlds.

Mercenary Kings is out today for PS Plus at no additional charge. Downloading it now!

I have been really pleased with the plethora of indie games on the PS4, especially since I have gotten half of them at no additional charge!

obvious we are "knee-deep" in indies right now because there is nothing else to play

That sounds a little like a trolling comment, but unfortunately it is true.

InFAMOUS: SS was a terrible disappointment after how great the first two games were. The lack of side missions and short story mode was surprising. I did two playthroughs and got the platinum in about 25 hours.

It is a beautiful game, but easily the worst of the series. Now my PS4 will collect dust until probably the holiday season rolls around.

You got 25 hours out of a single player game and it was terribly disappointing?

UnHoly_One1330d ago (Edited 1330d ago )

Doing literally everything, all side missions, all collectibles, all story missions TWICE, in an open world game? Yeah I'd call that a let down.

Have you played all three inFAMOUS games? It's a real step back from the first two games. They were both great, this one was just "ok".

I'm really surprised it is getting 8's in review scores, it doesn't deserve it. The first two deserved 8's and 9's, this one is about a 6 or 7.

This is all just my opinion of course. A lot of people have shocked me saying it is their favorite of the three... To each his own, I suppose.

I have played both and the Blood DLC. Infamous 3 could have been better in some areas but a "terrible disappoint" seems a bit dramatic.

It's not a "bad" game. It's just that the first two were so amazing, that is feels bad by comparison.
