April Fools: Facebook to Acquire a "Large Portion" of Valve Staff

According to anonymous source inside Valve, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been seen meeting with Gabe Newell and other members of Valve’s management staff about a possible “temporary buyout” of Valve’s staff directly following the recent Oculus Rift acquisition.

The story is too old to be commented.

Being realistic...Valve has already lost a lot of their big creative heads. Which is one of the main reasons L4D 3/Portal 3/Half Life 3 have all been stuck in an infinite loop of development.

I love Steam but I'm done waiting for Half Life 3 and Valve to get their shit together.

Thank god Evolve is being made.

Honestly I don't think valve really has much interest in masking games like they used to. They slowly shifted from being a game developer, to being more of a platform provider.

Then they could farm out the work to third parties or allow the valve staff that wants to still create things develop them under license. Valve would a cut of the profits and not have to divert attention from their glorious, wonderful, much needed steam box.
