Every Nintendo Developer

Nintendo Enthusiast quickly breaks down every single Nintendo studio. (3DS, Dev, Nintendo, Nintendo DS, Wii, Wii U)

Wow didn't realize they had so many developers/company's under there umbrella/Working with them. Future seems bright for some amazing tittles to come into the light.

Nintendo has been quiet as of late. Makes me wonder what there planning with E3 being only a few months away. Plus Mario Kart 8 launches next month.

Nintendo are kings and an absolute reference in this field. Can't wait for the new Zelda Wii U.
make the use of the gamepad screen like on the DS and 3DS episodes will be genious. hope it's playable with stylus as well.

The only problem is that half of those Make both handheld and Wii U games.

They did start hiring other people and I think it was to enlarge the teams for each so they wouldn't have to stay away from one platform for too long.

EX: They take 3 years for Wii U game, but at same time are making 3DS game that will release a year after the Wii U game.

Them having to make that 3DS game, takes time away from them developing Wii U games.

I think what they started to do was hire more people so they don't have to break up the teams or they can dedicated more to JUST Wii U games.

* I'm super excited about E3 though. GAMES are going to have to be the focus. I hope Sony, Nintendo & Microsoft understand this.

I am expecting Nintendo to have a big announcement at E3. Possibly a new IP.

They are helping with it, not making it.

They've traditionally focused on their handhelds, which may be why they're trying to maintain that monopoly.

In defense of Nintendo, they did leave WiiU wide open for third parties to jump in on some of its software market share. Not much effort was made.

This show Nintendo has more first party studios than Sony and Microsoft.
TheRedButterfly  +   460d ago
Now if only they would actually USE THEIR STUDIOS and make some games... (other than Mario that is)... Hey Retro, wanna spice things up and try Metroid? That'd be cool.

I'm not holding my breath.

also more games that aren't platformers please.

like maybe make some RPG's?

i know Dragon Quest X is coming... but it'll be MMORPG...
i'm kinda allergic to that genre these days unfortunately.

I really wish Nintendo would give their studios their own names. Because saying I work at Entertainment and Analysis Division is so boring. If Nintendo even wanted they could name the studios after their own characters. That would be even better then E&AD. Who wouldn't love to say I work at Bowser Studios or Mario Studios.
OtakuDJK1NG  +   460d ago
Their short name is Nintendo EAD.
The 3D Mario EAD team is sometime called Galaxy Team
